Indiana Is on Angie's S#!t List

Why is Angie's List so upset about Indiana's recent passage of the Religious Freedom and Restoration Act? The company has joined other celebrity voices, like Miley Cyprus and Ashton Kutcher, on the #BoycottIndiana bandwagon since Indiana adopted RFRA as law. After Governor Mike Pence signed the controversial legislation, Angie's List CEO Bill Oesterle took to Twitter shame tweeting:

Yesterday was a very dark day for Indiana. But, for me it was also a turning point. I intend to do something about it. #RFRA #myindiana

What, exactly, does Oesterle and Angie's List plan on doing in retribution of the state's new RFRA law? According to the The Washington Post,

In his role as Angie's List CEO, Oesterle announced that the company would halt plans to expand its headquarters in the state's capital -- a plan that would have generated about $40 million in economic activity and added hundreds of jobs -- pointing to the "so-called religious freedom restoration act."

While Indiana Governor Mike Pence is in the hot seat after signing the state's Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), as many see this legislation as the green light to discriminate against the LGBT community, a hysterical and hypothetical claim at best, in a nutshell the reality is

Indiana’s RFRA bill, much like that of many other states and the federal government, specifies that the government must have a “compelling interest” in order to infringe on an individual’s religious practice.

There is nothing in the legislation that advocates for gay and lesbian discrimination. But sadly, even though 19 other states have adopted similar legislation, Governor Pence is apparently reaping the furor of those wanting to use this hot-button issue to further an agenda. For instance, does anyone remember #BoycottFlorida when that state adopted RFRA?

But, back to Angie's List, why is the company being so vocal about this issue? According to Don Surber,

The Left is all excited because Angie's List is "boycotting" Indiana over the state's new Religious Freedom law. What they are not telling you is its stock price is down, it has posted losses for at least three years, and its plan to build a $40 million operation in Indianapolis required $18.5 million in tax incentives, which it lobbied for heavily this year. The boycott may be a cover story for a project that pancaked.

Well, now, that does explain quite a lot. After all, why on earth would consumers pay for reviews when they can get them for free from other competitive services, like Yelp which offers much more for consumers. Another interesting tidbit of relevance could also be explained by a pending lawsuit against Angie's List:

A federal class action lawsuit charges that executives of the popular consumer site Angie's List used false and misleading statements to inflate the company's stock price and engaged in ethically questionable business practices by allegedly forcing companies to pay for favorable ratings and "hot leads" from prospective customers.

So the Angie's List business plan is looking rather bleak and it appears that the company may be using this whole issue to gain favorable exposure from its anti-RFRA stand which may make some of the more conservative-minded and freedom loving consumers a bit angry. But, if so, don't waste your time with an #AngiesListBoycott as it appears one has been underway for some time now.

The Karma bus is out there and making its rounds.

For those who don't believe in Karma, you might want to rethink that belief after reading the following.

Remember the guy who drove through a Chick-fil-A back in 2011 and mercilessly berated a young girl working the drive through window, while capturing his despicable conduct on video and posting it to You Tube? Well, here's the video reminder of Adam Mark Smith when he decided to shoot a video of the employee confrontation in his protest to Chick-fil-A's opposition to gay marriage. Chick-fil-A never suggested they would not serve gays, only that their CEO was expressing his right to free speech in stating his opposition to gay marriage. Apparently free speech is only free when it is expressed by a liberal in a liberal talking point.

Smith was a CFO of a medical device manufacturer at the time of his now famous confrontation and earning a very tidy sum of $200,000 annually. Smith was summarily fired for his behavior at Chick-fil-A by his employer at the time and shortly thereafter went to work for a second manufacturer, which subsequently fired Smith when the second employer found out about Smith's You Tube video, which had already gone viral. The second employer was afraid that Smith might have a similar response to another liberal issue and simply did not want to go through that possibility

Now along comes the Karma bus, which appears to have run over Smith in an erie act of ironic consequences. You see, Smith is still unemployed after almost three years and he and his family are on food stamps. That may seem harsh to some, probably all liberals, but it must be remembered that Smith brought this issue upon himself by his own despicable behavior directed at an innocent young woman.

To be fair, Smith long ago apologized for his behavior toward the Chick-fil-A employee, Rachel Elizabeth. However, Smith only apologized for the manner in which he confronted Elizabeth in his attack on Chick-fil-A's CEO, who publicly stated his opposition to gay marriage. Apparently, the apology was not enough to satisfy the spirit of Karma, which is to say, what goes around, comes around. Smith did what he did because he took it upon himself to cause Chick-fil-A to suffer for their CEO expressing his right to have a public opinion.

The Karma bus not only rolled over Smith once, it seems it went in reverse and rolled over him a second time. Do you think Smith has learned anything from his actions? For his family's sake, I hope he has learned that actions do, in fact, often have severe consequences and going out of one's way to hurt someone else may rebound with negative consequences.

My Employer Advises Flee or Hide in an Active Shooter Situation

Last week I received an email from my employer with the subject line "Emergency Planning: Active Shooter Response Training." I'll admit the subject matter grabbed my attention, and I was curious to see the advice offered. The email claimed:

In recent years, reports of workplace violence and mass shootings have dominated the news, leaving many looking for answers. In response, we’ve identified several training resources developed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for use in increasing awareness, enhancing preparedness and responding to active shooter and workplace violence scenarios.

Since 2002 I have worked as an online instructor for The Apollo Education Group which has allowed me to work from home, taking contracts and teaching courses for The University of Phoenix to facilitate adult educational needs. I do not report to a traditional UOP campus so I knew the advice the email offered didn't apply to me; nevertheless, I was curious to know what steps the company was taking to ensure the safety of employees and students on campus.

Included in the email was a link taking me to a message from Apollo's VP & Chief Ethics Compliance Officer, who basically offered a two-step action plan in the event of an active shooter situation: 1) flee or 2) hide. The video message also included a simulated action plan created by the Department of Homeland Security.

Curiously, one piece of advice portrayed in the video was missing from Apollo's training instructions: fight back if directly confronted with a shooter. Red flags immediately began flying and I wondered what was the company's on-campus gun policy.

Like most college campuses nowadays, the policy promotes a gun-free zone which is potentially dangerous. Criminals and mentally disturbed people hell bent on causing mass casualties do not follow the law. Why would they follow a college campus policy? And why would an institution like The University of Phoenix be broadcasting that its campuses are gun-free zones?

It would be nice, for once, if a large corporation acknowledged that the only true action plan against a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Banning weapons and restricting Second Amendment rights will never effectively reduce the potential of an active shooter situation.

Quick Thought On Candidate Clinton

Hillary Clinton's net worth is estimated to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 million. She has been a lawyer, Governors wife, First Lady, U.S. Senator and Sec of State.

Her 2016 platform will largely consist of the themes income inequality and women's rights. With emphasis on women being able to smash through the glass ceiling in a world dominated by oppressive evil men (ie: any man).

Yep, we need Hillary as President because a woman just can't get a break in America.

Chaos in the Middle East brought to you by an incompetent Obama administration.

Obama's incompetence in foreign affairs is the single greatest contributing factor in the chaos we see running rampant across the Middle East today. With the arbitrary time limit approaching for an agreement to be reached between the U.S. and Iran over a supposed cessation of Iran's development of a nuclear program, our Arab allies have concluded that President Obama's foolhardy and contrary path of negotiations with Iran will simply lead to a nuclear Iran, no matter the text of any agreement. Our Arab allies are not stupid and they are not sitting idly by in the meantime.

Saudi Arabia and nine other Arab states are taking up arms against Iran's surrogate, the Shiite terrorist Houthis in Yemen. Will it be long before these 10 nations actually take up arms and attack Shiite Iran? Are we about to witness a cataclysmic confrontation between Sunnis and Shiites in the Middle East? It's shaping up to look that way.

Iran's support of terrorist organizations is widely known. Iran essentially controls events in Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Yemen and to some degree in Syria. Meanwhile, Iran has had their surrogate, the Houthi terrorists, overthrow the Yemen government and chase American diplomats and military resources from Yemen, all the while our Commander in Chief has been sitting idly by not knowing what to do or where to do it.

Sunni Arabs may well be the coalition that attacks Shiite Iran to prevent it from becoming a nuclear weaponized Shiite nation with hegemony over the entire Middle East, including all the Sunni Muslim nations.

Would this complete regional chaos have come into being without President Obama's complete failure to understand the reality of the dynamics in play in these countries? Obama's foreign policy actions have done nothing but embolden Iran, while sowing discord among our Arab allies and friends. Our Arab allies clearly see and understand the dangers of a nuclear Iran. They have seen Iran's influence metastasize throughout the region through its support of terrorist groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood, Boko Haram, etc.

I fully expect to see Iran develop and use a nuclear weapon in the Middle East in less than five years. The leadership of Iran is so far from the norm of rational thinking that there simply is nothing that will dissuade them from any other course of action at this point in time. Iran will, in time, attack Israel with a nuclear weapon. That is their solemn goal and they have not minced words in letting the world know what their goal is.

Meanwhile, President Obama and his co-conspirator in chaos, Secretary of State, John Kerry, play at reaching an agreement with Iran that will, at best, stall Iran's plans to develop a nuclear weapon for several years or so, until these two political misfits are out of office, thus leaving a monumental mess for the next American president to try and clean up. However, it will be immeasurably more difficult with a nuclear Iran already in place.

Obama's legacy will be one of complete chaos that may or may not be reversible, thus leaving the world in a far more dangerous position.

I thought that was the funniest damn thing I had heard in all my nine years and I laughed like a maniac about it as we left the bar so the old man could get us to school before we were late.

A new CBS poll on Hillary Clinton this week suggests that the former first lady, New York senator and secretary of state faces a steeper road to the White House than her supporters might think.

Only 26 percent in the poll of the adult population had a favorable view of Clinton, while 37 percent had an unfavorable opinion, and an astonishing 36 percent said they hadn’t heard enough to form an opinion or were undecided.

History

The State Department releases the so-called Acheson-Lilienthal Report, which outlines a plan for international control of atomic energy. The report represented an attempt by the United States to maintain its superiority in the field of atomic weapons while also trying to avoid a costly and dangerous arms race with the Soviet Union.

The March 1946 report had been instigated by a rather hastily assembled proposal put forward by Secretary of State James Byrnes at the Moscow Conference in December 1945. Byrnes presented a hazy plan for some sort of United Nations control of atomic energy; Soviet leader Joseph Stalin agreed to the idea. President Harry S. Truman was livid when he learned of Byrnes’s proposal. By the time of the meeting in Moscow, Truman had come to the conclusion that the Soviets were dangerous adversaries who must be met with force. Giving up America’s nuclear monopoly was not appealing. Nevertheless, he ordered the Department of State to put together a preliminary plan, assuming that America had such a huge head start in atomic power that the Soviets could never really catch up. China CEO Says #Apple Is Like #Hitler

The CEO of a Chinese internet video site, Leshi TV, has compared Apple to Hitler as his company prepares for the launch of a new Android-powered smartphone, the X900. Recently, CEO Jia Yueting posted a cartoonish figure of Hitler, sporting a red armband with an Apple logo instead of a Nazi swastika, on his social media website.

Roughly translated, Jia Yueting claims:

In iOS arrogant domination, global apple developers love to hate, always careful to ask "so that innovation can it?." Apple closed loop mode greatly curb technological innovation, hinder the industrial progress and hurt the interests of users. Everyone in worship Apple, but its pattern is dusk empire. Rapid development and long-term value for the user industry, how do you think should be made to change in order to promote the progress of the industry?

Taking a shot at the technological empire of Apple seems fair game; however, comparing the company to Hitler appears to be taking things a little too far. The entire poster sends a clear cut message:

To the left is a group of happy children in front of mountains and a wind farm, eager to walk through the doors displayed on LeTV’s upcoming first Android-powered smartphone, the X900.

To the right, we find Adolf Hitler with an Apple logo in place of a swastika standing in front of caution tape and a warnings sign.

Weasel Harry Reid Says He Won’t Seek Re-Election

After Harry Reid got beat up in January, by a mystery assailant. Oh, fell down, bumped his head and broke his face exercising - that's his story and he's sticking to it. The Senate Majority wimp, the desk where all House Bills went to die - has finally seen the light after three long decades. Career Senator, Harry Reid, has announced he will not seek re-election after his term finally dies of old age. Good riddance to a bad weasel. You did us NO favors, you Obama water carrier and agenda pusher.

Senator Harry Reid, the tough tactician who has led Senate Democrats since 2005, will not seek re-election next year, bringing an end to a three-decade congressional career that culminated with his push of President Obama’s ambitious agenda against fierce Republican resistance.

“I understand this place,” Mr. Reid said. “I have quite a bit of power as minority leader.”

He has already confounded the new Republican majority this year by holding Democrats united against a proposal to gut the Obama administration’s immigration policies as well as a human-trafficking measure Democrats objected to over an anti-abortion provision.

“I want to be able to go out at the top of my game,” said Mr. Reid, who used a sports metaphor about athletes who try to hang on too long. “I don’t want to be a 42-year-old trying to become a designated hitter.”

He posted his "good bye speech" on youtube, telling the world that his "exercising accident" gave him time with his wife, but that it had little to do with his decision to bail on politics - after three excruciatingly long decades. He also told Mitch McConnell not to get too happy, with his decision, that he still had 22 months [to squash, sit on the GOP's Bills and carry Obama's water] before his term languishes and dies of old age.

I've read some liberal commentary say, "This is going to be a big absence on Capitol hill..." Really? His desk is where bills went to die, maybe now they will actually get bipartisan legislation passed and something done in Washington. It's amazing how Reagan, Bush and Clinton all managed to get things done with a split Congress, but this President can get nothing done. He couldn't even get things done when he had control of, during his first term. He didn't pass gay marriage, gun control, health care insurance or Amnesty when he had full-control, so he can't blame the "obtrusive GOP" now.

Mr. Reid’s tenure has become increasingly combative in recent years and included a procedural change on nominations that infuriated Republicans. He also came under fire for blocking floor debate, and even some of his Democratic colleagues suggested that he was stifling the Senate. Just this week, he alienated House Democrats who thought he was sabotaging a compromise on Medicare.

Finally, the truth is brought out into the light, that the Democrats, with Weasel Reid as their "leader," are the combative one. However, "combative" is the understatement of the millennium. Yet it's the GOP that are blamed for being the "obstructionists" to progress, because these Demonrats can do no wrong with this Administration.

His departure at the end of 2016 will create an opening both at the top of the Senate Democratic hierarchy and in a Senate contest that would have been a mega spending slugfest in the presidential battleground of Nevada. Conservatives such as Charles G. and David H. Koch, the billionaire brothers who were a favorite target of Reid criticism in 2014, would have spared no expense in trying to oust him. There may be light at the end of this tunnel, after all. With the end of Obama's reign will come a lot of change, hopefully in the right direction. Obama leaves and out go his water carriers, one by one as we see with Reid, if we do this right. I wonder if there is any way we can convince Reid to take Pelosi with him and make this a party. Now, all we have to do is stop listening to the liberals when they start chasing their tails and telling us, "we can't win" and they "have all the power," and start coming together to convince the rest of the world that we can win and take our country back.

NYT Reporter Put on Notice - Words You Can't Say About #Hillary

Amy Chozick, a reporter for The New York Times, has been officially put "on notice" by HRC Super Volunteers. Some words used in reporting about Hillary Clinton will not be tolerated:

A group called HRC Super Volunteers just warned me "We will be watching, reading, listening and protesting coded sexism..." (1/2)

Quite the week here in the homeland... We now know without question that at least one Republican is running for the office of the presidency. Senator Ted Cruz, from the great state of Texas has announced his intent. And with that, the nauseating liberal media did not waste any time vilifying him for it! Unjustly?

Perhaps, but we as a nation being led by this Obama, have become somewhat desensitized by the liberal left, their ideology, media attacks and perhaps just have grown accustomed to these flagrant fouls that go unchallenged! The liberal left continues to diminish Senator Cruz solely because his beliefs don't jive with their own distorted sense of reality! Case in point, the women, (and I use that term loosely) of the spew, I mean "The View" who said this....

Because of stellar programming like the View, some Americans choose to either watch and agree, or simply disagree. That's not good enough if we as patriots truly want to change the current direction of the country! As the Great One, Mark Levin warned everyone on his talk show, and I am paraphrasing, Obama is not changing the country, the Constitution, or the government. HE IS TRANSFORMING YOU AMERICA!

Also this week, Bowe Bergdahl, you remember the Sergeant that deserted his post, turned his back on America, left his platoon and as many as 6 servicemen looking for this trash lost their lives. The same person whom this Administration traded 5 top Taliban members for, and with his infinite wisdom, this Obama invites Bergdahls parents to the rose garden and said this....

Wake up America, and realize this administration, top to bottom insult your intelligence DAILY!

Still not convinced? Okay, do you remember when Susan Rice once again made the Sunday rounds regarding Bergdahl and said this with a straight face....

When are we as a nation going to wake up and not be insulted anymore! When people are vilified by the left for their beliefs in the rights of the unborn, or a dissenting view of global warming, not factually backed by science, or because he or she believes in Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

WE must start calling things for what they are, a complacent society, ill informed voters, and a nation of dependence on big government and not of self reliance! These few examples that I have delineated above are just a microcosm of what this Obama and his acolytes are doing to YOU the informed, concerned, patriots that love this great country!

WAKE UP AMERICA, take a stand, educate a liberal with facts, because it is getting more and more difficult for them to defend this Obama and his administration! Start calling it like you see it......
