Speaker John Boehner played the game and called Reid "a devoted servant and a tough advocate for the people of Nevada," while Jim Messina provided the most unctuous response of the day.

"A lion sleeps tonight," said the Obama 2012 campaign manager and former White House adviser. "Sen. Reid will go down as one of the greatest public servants to ever grace the halls of the Capitol."...   READ MORE

  1. Reid will go down in history as the most contentious disaster to destroy the function and traditions of the Senate in the history of the Senate. The role and function of the Senate has always been as the more deliberative of the two houses of Congress. It was always intended to be the place where time and continuing debate would allow for the cooling off of momentary public opinion in order to get to the best ultimate conclusion. Reid made the Senate a political confrontation at every opportunity. He was more interested in his relationship with the White House than he was about the legislative process of the Senate.

If there is a Republican President elected in November 2016, expect a Republican Attorney General to investigate the many corrupt practices of Reid during his rein as Senate Majority Leader. It will happen and Reid may well suffer some very serious criminal consequences.
