Good, Bad, Ugly and the Inexperienced at the First GOP Debate

Because I was late getting home from work, I didn't have an opportunity to watch the first half of the debates, where the stage was shared by the least favorite pole sitters:  former Texas Gov. Rick Perry; former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum; Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal; former HP head Carly Fiorina; South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham; former New York Gov. George Pataki; and former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore.

From what I heard from the recaps, I missed a Fiorina firework battle and the winner was easy to call, Carly Fiorina took it easily. There were no “knock-out punches” in the early show, but Carly Fiorina had several key responses. Perhaps her best was in reference to Donald Trump’s lead in the polls. When asked if Trump was “getting the better of her,” she responded, “Well, I don’t know. I didn’t get a phone call from Bill Clinton before I jumped in the race. Did any of you get a phone call from Bill Clinton? I didn’t. Maybe it’s because I hadn’t given money to the foundation or donated to his wife’s Senate campaign,” referring to Trump’s call from Clinton, and his support of Hillary’s senatorial campaign in 2000.

She completed the thought with what I thought was a superb recapitulation of why Trump is leading, in spite of not being a real conservative. “I think he’s tapped into an anger that people feel. They’re sick of politics as usual. You know, whatever your issue, your cause, the festering problem you hoped would be resolved, the political class has failed you. That’s just a fact, and that’s what Donald Trump taps into. I would also just say this. Since he has changed his mind on amnesty, on health care and on abortion, I would just ask, what are the principles by which he will govern?”


The logician on the early stage was clearly Fiorina, as exemplified when she answered a question about ISIS, Iran, and the instability in the Middle East. She said, “You know, Obama has presented the American people with a false choice every time. It’s what I’ve done or not done, or it’s war. It is a false choice.” Obama consistently employs the fallacious false dichotomy, or fallacy of bifurcation, argument in an attempt to justify his actions.

Charles Krauthammer concurred that Fiorina won the earlier debate. He said, “She won the debate, and she won it running away.” Her grasp of issues, succinct and persuasive solutions, and the logic of her responses were irrefutable. Krauthammer singled out her statement regarding Washington’s dysfunction, “It’s conservatism versus liberalism, and I’m a conservative.” And unlike our current president, she’s actually run something; Hewlett-Packard, one of the largest technology companies on the planet.  See more at the Conservative Daily News

I did catch the second half, the prime time debate, where no real winner was found.  This matchup between the top seeds: magnate Donald Trump, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky and Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida. which seemed to be more of an exercise in demoralizing political frivolousness.

We all know that Trump isn't going to take this to the end, and take a pay cut.  He's here to be a pot stirrer and thin the herd.  It was obvious by the sparing he did with Rand Paul and even with Megyn Kelly.

A perfect example is Megyn Kelley’s question of Trump. “Mr. Trump, …you’ve called women you don’t like “fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals. Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president?” To which Trump responded, “I think the big problem this country has is being politically correct.” Political correctness is a problem, but not “the big problem.” And one can be direct, frank, and politically incorrect, but still not be an ass. Notice that his answer has nothing to do with an admission of him calling women horrible names, which he actually did, but became a slap to the face of all Americans being "politically correct," and a further insult to women by not apologizing.  Sorry, Trump, there's a difference between being "politically correct," and a vomitous, impolite misogynist pig. 

Yet, when no one agrees with him, suddenly he cries, "everyone hates him."  Funny, that doesn't sound like a "Conservative" to me.  Suddenly, Trump is sounding more and more like a liberal in Conservative clothing.

Dr. Carson and Jeb Bush bothered me the most. Dr. Ben Carson’s comments on race were classic.

“I was asked by an NPR reporter once, why don’t I talk about race that often. I said it’s because I’m a neurosurgeon. And she thought that was a strange response. I said, you see, when I take someone to the operating room, I’m actually operating on the thing that makes them who they are. The skin doesn’t make them who they are. The hair doesn’t make them who they are. And it’s time for us to move beyond that.”

Hold that horse a minute, Dr. Carson. You don't talk about race? Well, some of us don't have long term memory loss like liberals do.  Nor do we re-write history and have the desire to elect yet another, on-the-job-experience President.  Dr. Carson has already proven that he has the propensity to be racially divisive when he exposed his racial divisive bone, the one Obama loves to flex, when he called white liberals racist, “they’re the most racist people there are, because they put you in a little category, a box. You have to think this way. How could you dare come off the plantation?”  When someone shows you who they are, believe them. Read more at Washington Post

Obama shows us that Carson already has the majority of the black vote, because of his skin color, and whites will vote for him out of white guilt.  No one denies that Carson is charismatic, much like Obama and a gaffer like Biden. 


I'll remind everyone of his, "ISIS fighters are much like America's Founding Fathers, willing to die for what they believe in," and who could forget Carson's, "homosexuality is a choice, prison proves that."  Read more at Newsmax

Not only that, but he's against the Second Amendment. So, if we American patriots - like our Founders - stand for our freedom, our Bible, smaller government and our right to bear arms, one day you and I will be recorded in history as terrorists too. If what this man says is accepted as "logical and right."  Not to mention, if he's accepted and voted in as President, and you live in a large city as I do, he also doesn't feel we have the right to own "semi-automatic guns" either.

Dr. Ben Carson: "It depends on where you live, I'm afraid...I'd rather you not have it."

Those who displayed the greatest leadership qualities and substance were Senators Rubio and Cruz, and Governors Walker and Bush. But with all the dirty laundry aired by the Fox News crew, it’s remarkable anyone was able to rise above the fray. Read more at Conservative Daily News

So, out of those who "displayed the greatest leadership" we have Bush, who stands for Common Core and Amnesty  and Rubio who pushed for amnesty in the Gang of Eight and then flip-flopped and ran from it.  Read more at Hotair

Even Cruz pointed that fact out during the debate, that most of the candidates on the panel before him supported Amnesty with one exception. "A majority of the candidates on this stage have supported amnesty," he said. "I have never supported amnesty, and I led the fight against Chuck Schumer’s gang of eight amnesty legislation in the Senate."  Read more at Politifact

I have a bad feeling, if Hildabeast Clinton is actually elected by the DNC, that this election is going to boil down to:  "GOP please just send us a qualified candidate, due to the fact that we will have to vote for ANYONE BUT Hildabeast.  Our country can't handle 4 more years of Democratic Detroit Leadership and mentality."

If you weren't thrilled to death with the prospect of Jeb Bush running for the Republican presidential nomination, this news ought to push you over the edge into full blown rejection of Jeb Bush, besides his positions supporting illegal immigration amnesty and common core standards to even further dumb down American students.

On April 9, Michael Bloomberg delcared his friend Jeb Bush the best GOP candidate for president.
To be precise, Bloomberg cited Bush and Hillary Clinton as the only truly “worthy” candidates, in his view.“Hillary and Jeb are the only two who know how to make the trains run,” said Bloomberg.

Bloomberg's comments on Jeb Bush could well be the deserved death knell for Jeb Bush's dynastic campaign to further advance the Bush brand in the history books.  When the rumors first went out that Jeb Bush was even remotely considering a run at the Republican nomination for president, the first thought that entered my mind was short and to the point.  I thought Jeb Bush had to be crazy.  The Bush brand has been irreparably damaged for at least another generation, if not longer.  

The Bush name is radioactive, not only among Democrats, but far too many independents and Republicans.  It is becoming even more questionable if Jeb Bush can even make it through the Republican presidential primary.  The most recent polling indicates that 42% of Republicans would not vote for Jeb under any circumstances.  That is an astounding percentage of Republicans that already oppose Jeb Bush.  I must be one of the 42%, since my vote in California is meaningless when it comes to a presidential election and I simply would not vote for Jeb either in the California Republican presidential primary or the presidential election in November 2016.

Lest anyone forget, it was Michael Bloomberg that wanted to determine what New Yorkers could eat and not eat.  Additionally, it was Bloomberg that organized and continues to fund a national anti-gun group to the tune of tens of millions of dollars annually, which has as its sole purpose, attacking the 2nd Amendment and the individual right to bear arms, even in self defense.  

Bush's record as governor of Florida is touted as his main claim to fame, even though Bush has been out of office since early 2007.  Bush's accomplishments as governor really don't carry over to a complete and current view of national issues.  Bush epitomizes the acronym, RINO, Republican In Name Only.  America doesn't need a choice between a liberal Democrat and liberal RINO in the person of Jeb Bush.  It's time to give a America a chance to make a clear cut distinction between what it means to be conservative and what liberal progressivism has already done to set America on a path to self destruction as a model of European socialism.

Snake in the Grass Jeb Bush Sheds His "Conservative" Skin & Exposes His Amnesty Rhino Pelt

Speaking in South Carolina Tuesday, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush shed his "conservative" skin and exposed his true rhino colors, as he attempted to defend his pro-Amnesty views.  

He went so far as to say, sounding a lot like Obama, that if people were even considering running in 2016, they needed to “stop preying on people’s fears” and “stop dividing us.” Admitting that no one on either side as admitted that we're going to outright deport illegals, if they should step out from the shadows.

“I have not seen, I don’t know if you’ve seen, a plan that says ‘we’re gonna deport everybody,’” Mr. Bush said at a breakfast event in Greenville Tuesday morning, kicking off a multi-day swing through the state.

Oh no, Bush goes on to step in line with Obama. Let's award the lawbreakers that came over, some just sending their sick children, and cut in line by the thousands.

“The cost of that would be enormous, the time would be enormous, the disruption would be enormous,” he continued. “A better plan would be to say, allow people a path to legalized status. Let them earn legalized status — paying fines, working, not receiving government assistance. Learning English. And over a period of time, you earn legalized status where you come out from the shadows … but you’re not cutting in the line with people that have been patiently waiting to try to come in legally.”

This to me is funny, because it sounds a lot like Obama, yet Bush was "opposed" to Obama's Executive Action.  However, if given half the chance at the White House, Bush would be put in the position of doing the exact same thing, because this Country is against the very thing he and Obama are in favor of.  Listen to his speech, aimed at illegals.

He said Tuesday that another part of an immigration plan entails shared values.

"Shared values?" Which values would those be? The "breaking the law" to enter the country or the "give me free stuff on the taxpayers, that I wouldn't get from the country I just came from" values?

“It doesn't matter where you start, where you came from — if you embrace those values, you learn English, you have a respect for our history and our heritage, you’re as American as anybody else,” he said.

"the History of our heritage you are as American as anybody else...." Maybe someone had better tell Bush that America is a nation of Immigrants that came here legally, in the broad daylight, put their hand up and pledged allegiance to America before a judge, by the letter of the law, like they were supposed to.  

Not illegal aliens that broke the law sneaking over the border and then spent decades leaching off the system in the shadows, and his "you're as American as anybody else" is a slap in the face to every American - natural born and to every person that dedicated the time and money to become an American the legal way.

 Bush went on to admit that he understands that the real Conservatives in his own party are against his views. 

“Look, I’m pretty convinced that my views are the right views for high, sustained economic growth and fixing these things so that we can move forward,” he continued. “If people have a better idea, I’d like to hear it. But doing nothing — is that a plan? Doing nothing — just let this linger over and over again, these missed opportunities that we have — that’s not a plan. That’s a sentiment. That’s an emotion. That’s preying on people’s fears.

Bush then hinted at potential things to come.

“No final words other than the fact that you probably are gonna be sick and tired of seeing me up here,” he quipped. “I’m excited about the possibilities. I’m learning a lot on this journey and I look forward to being with you in the months to come.”  Read more Washington Times

What's really pathetic here is, Bush, like Obama, are oblivious to the fact that it's not just the GOP that are against "his views on Amnesty" but the majority of Americans are against his views as well.  Is this the kind of President we want in office? One that is so focused on his own agenda, wants and desires that he's tunnel-visioned and can't see, or even care to see, what we the people want?  If only we had a President in our present or history to see how that one would turn out. 

Jeb Bush Doubles-Down on Common-Core

While in New Hampshire, with Governor Scott Walker, Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush decided he'd start poking sticks at Governor Walker, who has never hid his opposition to Common Core, after Governor Walker declared himself the "front-runner in the race for the Republican presidential nomination." 

Not to be outdone, former FL Governor Bush figured he'd throw jabs at Governor Walker and doubled-down on his pro-Common Core position, while he was at it.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush yesterday poked fun at Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s declaration that he’s the front-runner in the race for the Republican presidential nomination, as both heavyweights are set to collide in the Granite State for a second straight day today.

“I’m not a candidate. I don’t think — maybe he is — I don’t know. You can’t be a front-runner until you start running,” Bush said after touring Integra Biosciences here yesterday.

Of course, then Bush, being the mushy, pro-Amnesty, squishy on Second-Amendment, pro-Common-Core Moderate Republican that he is decided to start showing his true colors when he was asked, "so are you declaring that you are running, in 2016?"

“I’m joyfully pursuing the possibility of this and I will decide at some point, and then I’ll go at it,” he said, ignoring the massive campaign fundraising that’s taking place on his behalf.

In an attempt to portray himself as more electable than his rivals, Bush reiterated his support for mainstreaming illegal immigrants — a stance that has drawn heat from hard-line conservatives in his party.

“The best plan, the most realistic plan, the grown-up plan, once you control the border ... is to say, ‘Let these folks achieve, earn legal status,’ ” Bush said during a business roundtable at Integra. “If we just keep people in the shadows, we’re not going to solve our immigration problems.”

Bush also embraced the so-called Common Core State Standards Initiative, which dictates public school education and math requirements. He said the standards are needed and described a scenario where without them, students could receive a high school diploma, yet still fail entrance tests for community colleges.

“Who’s fooling who?” Bush asked. “Do we feel good about this? Are we that concerned about our self-esteem?”

He suggested his position on Common Core may be unpopular among some Republicans, but it’s also more mature, and hence more likely to attract mainstream voters.

This shows how "out of touch" Bush really is with this entire Country and what an uphill fight he's going to have with the electoral collage, should he indeed decide to run.

Yes, Common-Core may be the "standard," here in Florida, but even we are fighting to get this leach off our educational student body.

“I think you need to begenuine,” said Bush. “You need to have a backbone. You need to be able topersuade people this is a national crisis. … Our country will not be as dynamicas we want it to be until we improve education in this country.” Read more Boston Herald

The Standardized testing of No Child Left Behind is one thing, this is Our Country Gone to Hell. Common Core is the Islamic dummyingdown of our Children and is a total waste of our Educational resources.  My step-son is in the 3rd Grade, is doing Algebra math, and has Common-Core math being inflicted on him.  He asked his teacher if he "had the correct answer," and her answer to him (I kid you not), "I don't know, this is the Common-Core math book, and this one doesn't have an answer key."

Any candidate that stands against our children, our Constitution, that includes the Second Amendment, and stands for the "fundamentally changing America" will not get my vote. That includes the occasionallyracially divisive, anti-second amendment, somewhat unpatriotic, US government slamming, gaffing Dr. Carson.



Inexperienced men, who are great with flowery words that are only meant to stir our Emotions just won't do it this time.  We see where that's gotten us. Professor Obama said something a lot like Dr. Carson before he took office, regardless of what he said during his campaigning.

I guess he "evolved" on our rights, after he took office, because he's signed 23 Executive Orders regarding our gun rights oh and two more after that.  Can't forget the ATF and Diane Feinstein's attempt at an outright gun ban, again, because her 1984 ban didn't prove useless enough.

My Favorite Lamentation

God, within the last year you called one of my favorite comedians home to be with you. His name is Robin Williams. I liked him as an actor also, but to many people he was a favorite presence in many excellent movies

You also took the iconic Shirley Temple from this mortal coil. She was a favorite of mine because her movies projected a feeling of wholesome innocence sorely lacking in the world today.

Lord, it was also the year my favorite actor Mickey Rooney died. He was one of my favorite people because of his indomitable spirit. Mickey never gave up. He climbed the mountain of life and fell off of it countless times only to dust himself off and achieve success time and again.

I don't understand the how or why involved in your decisions made on taking my favorites, but I don't question it. It just seems the deaths of my favorite people hit me very hard

God, the thing is...there are more favorite people in my life. Their names are Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump...
