Mom’s Demand and Panera Bread Becomes Unsafe for All but Criminals

Have you heard yet? On Monday, Panera Bread joins the ranks of Starbucks, Buffalo Bill Wild Wings, Chipotle and Target who have all caved to the anti-gun, pro-armed-security, Mom’s Demand Action.  Monday, the CEO of Panera Bread officially declared the fast-food chain a “gun-free” zone.

The company said it wants to ensure that "customers and associates feel comfortable and welcome” in its restaurants.

 

“We ask that guns not be brought into this environment unless carried by an authorized law enforcement officer," the eatery chain, which boosts 1,800 locations in the United States and Canada, said in a statement Monday.

You know what us “gun-nuts” say about “gun-free” zones, right?  They make target-rich environments.  There’s never a cop around, at the moment you need one, so you’d better pray there’s a law-abiding-gun-owner around that is willing to put their life between the gunman and your life.

 

Does anyone remember what happed to Target, after they announced that they were going “gun-free?” Several stores across the East Coast were robbed at -- you guessed it -- gun-point by criminals, not law-abiding gun owners.  Why wasn’t a law abiding gun owner there to stop it? I have to laugh at Panera’s feeble claim of “respecting the rights of gun owners” at the expense of the safety of its unarmed patrons.  Every time I’ve gone into Panera, no one has ever asked me if I was carrying, nor has my carrying ever made anyone around me uncomfortable.  No one has ever seen my weapon, that’s why they call it “concealed carry.” 

 

However, just like I have Target, Starbucks, Chipotle and Buffalo Bill Wild Wings, I will respect the establishment and keep my gun and home and not risk my life going into that establishment, because I know that criminals don’t have the same respect of the law or human life as I do.

Bare Your Boobs in Target, but Not Your Arms

Now I have heard it all, we can't make this stuff up.  Target obviously feels it's a woman's right to bare her breasts before the world and breast feed her child, "in any area of the store, including the waiting room, even if people are waiting to use it." Oh, that shouldn't make anyone who walks up on that unexpectedly feel uncomfortable, right? However, as of July of last year, it's "respectfully" no longer our right to bear arms in their stores.

God-forbid they should stand by the Constitution, and the potential safety of their customers, and allow us the God-given right to at least conceal carry in their store.  Remember, "the sight of guns, or the very thought of the customers carrying guns wasn't neighborly" and "makes their customers uncomfortable."  Read more WSJ and USAToday

If it wasn't already, Target has now become the favorite store for nursing mothers.

The popular store chain has received praise from breastfeeding mothers across the country after a blurry photo of the Target employee handbook emerged, revealing that the store's policy is to support breastfeeding, whether out in the open or in a private fitting room.

Isn't this fabulous, now instead of their ubber-liberal customers feeling "uncomfortable" by the occasional open carrier (in the applicable states) or the possibility of shopping next to a person that might be conceal-carrying, now their child will have to opportunity to experience witnessing a new born to small child latched onto an engorged bare breast.  Mangia! Babies Mangia!
 

The photo was posted to the Facebook page of advocacy website Breastfeeding Mama Talk, who wrote alongside the photo: "Kudos to Target for their breastfeeding friendly policy. Other businesses should take note."

The photo, which appears to be from the page of a handbook, shows a section simply titled 'Breastfeeding'.

'Guests may openly breastfeed in our stores or ask where they can go to breastfeed their child,' it reads, then lists a series of points for employees to take note of.

'Target’s policy supports breastfeeding in any area of our stores, including our fitting rooms, even if others are waiting,' it continues.

'If you see a woman breastfeeding in our stores, do not approach her. If she approaches you and asks for a location to breastfeed, offer the fitting room (do not offer the restroom as an option).'

Since the post was originally published, it has been shared over 16,000 times and garnered praise from mothers all over the country, many of whom also had Target breastfeeding experiences of their own to share.

'This is why I love Target!!!' wrote one mom. 'About a month ago I was nursing my daughter and a customer went and got a manager, brought them to where I was nursing (in the men's section with my husband, covered up) and complained.   Read more Dailymail

I stopped going to Target, when they became a gun-free target-rich environment and "respectfully" kicked us law-abiding gun owners out of the store last year.  We saw how that worked for them, after armed robbers hit several stores and their customers in Georgia, right after their gun-free, Target-rich, announcement.
