The Refugee Rebellion: 32 States Refusing #SyrianRefugees

The Refugee Rebellion: Majority of US States Don't Want Syrian Refugees

Barack Obama’s administration seems to be hell-bent on bringing in tens of thousands (more likely to become hundreds of thousands, using the “foot-in-the-door” tactic) of unvetted, unverified, and potentially dangerous Syrian “refugees” into the United States.

Thankfully, state governments have more sense than the Feds, and over two dozen governors have publicly stated that they will not cooperate with any resettlement efforts in their state.

Even though there may not be specific legal authority for the governors to block the resettlement efforts (I’m leaving that particular mess to the Constitutional lawyers), this “mini-rebellion” demonstrates the divide between the increasingly-overreaching federal government, and the state governments who actually listen to their constituents.

Over at TheArcOfInstability blog, there’s an updated map showing the current state-by-state status, as well as a listing of governors’ names, telephone numbers, and Twitter accounts. In addition, there are “Click-To-Tweet pre-written tweets, so you can quickly & easily send the governors a message (of protest, encouragement, or thanks, depending on their situation).
