Inexplicably, another Republican establishment moron decided to throw caution and minimum judgment to the wind and jump into a pile of stupid with both feet last week. We all know about House Republican Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), withdrawing from consideration for Speaker of the House to replace tan man John Boehner, after claiming that the House Committee investigating the Benghazi scandal was politically motivated to attack Hillary Clinton.
Now comes Republican Rep. Richard Hanna (R-NY). Hanna, not a member of, or involved in, the House Committee investigating Benghazi under the leadership of Committee Chairman, Trey Gowdy, decided what the political world needed was a second dose of stupid commentary from a Republican. Hanna may as well have given Hillary a big wet kiss and a little tongue as he handed Hillary a second talking point for Hillary to fall back on as she scrambles to portray the House Committee investigation as a political witch hunt to bring her down in the polls.
"This may not be politically correct, but I think that there was a big part of this investigation that was designed to go after people and an individual, Hillary Clinton,” said Rep. Richard Hanna (R-NY). “After what Kevin McCarthy said, it’s difficult to accept at least a part of it was not. I think that’s the way Washington works. But you’d like to expect more from a committee that’s spent millions of dollars and tons of time.” Patriot Post
Hanna offered not a single fact to substantiate his ridiculous comment and appears to have paraphrased Kevin McCarthy's comments. What would possess a Republican to make such an inane comment, especially after it brought down Kevin McCarthy's bid for the Speakership of the House? It is simply incomprehensible and raises the question of Hanna's judgment and competence as congressman and any loyalty that he might have to the whole of the Republican Party.
No wonder conservatives are up in arms against the Republican Party establishment with morons like Hanna in a position to sabotage the party's chances of defeating Hillary Clinton's bid for the Democrat presidential nomination.
