An Obama voter celebrating Independence day is like an
atheist celebrating Christmas.
I dream of a time when Independence Day becomes Interdependence Day.

Key #5: Independence and Interdependence must be linked. No man or woman is an island. You need support. You need love. #YourIndependenceDay

Yet, playing devil's advocate, everything we have, we've more than likely bought from China. What flag were you flying today? Was it a red, white and blue flag or Confederate flag, both made in China. Perhaps you were truly "independent" and decided to fly a flag from your country or maybe a rainbow
flag, also made in China.Did you, by chance, head out to attend a firework display or a family barbecue? Oh wait, those are all Chinese-made goods, include our cell phone that we used to take those "memory pics" on too. So much for our ubber-patriotic "Independence" day celebration.
Happy INTERdependence Day!

I think we should write a Declaration of interdependence, join hands, and walk forward. I'm happy for this day. Happy to be alive.

July 4: Time for a “Declaration of Interdependence” because “this country was built by neighbors, not by individuals” (Benjamin Barber)

However, this is truly the land of the blessed and the best, because we are the land of the free, because of the sacrifices of the Brave.
The need for love lies at the very basis of human existence. It results from the profound interdependence we all share with one another.
