Harry Reid and his cohorts see recent school shootings as the ammunition they need to start a new conversation about gun control laws. In nothing more than a huge distraction away from Obama and Kerry's foreign policy failures of late, the Democrats will take to Capitol Hill and demand the following:

However, note that while they are discussing gun control and offering legislation that is a) either already on the books or b) would not help in preventing a school shooting (i.e. criminals and mentally unsound people do not follow laws), Reid and fellow Democrats will be surrounded by armed security. This makes the average person wonder - if armed security guards are a good idea for lawmakers, why aren't they also considered a viable option for schools at all educational levels?
