At this point, Rand Paul, is not my first choice to see Republicans lead the charge to take back the country from an overbearing government. For instance, his trolling of Republican candidates has not set well with me, especially when Cruz announced his candidacy at Liberty University and the Paul Pac made sure a segment of students attending wore "Stand with Rand" shirts. However, I will say Paul's speech to announce his candidacy was a smart one given in sound bites. And, at this point, the more conservative-minded candidates who enter the race the merrier, especially if it wards off an establishment candidate doomed for failure, like, for instance, Jeb Bush or Mike Huckabee.
