Don't let the title mislead you - no, self-proclaimed pedophile Lena Dunham has not physically attacked Ivanka. She has only used Trump's daughter as an example in some sort of convoluted logic.
Now that Donald Trump has performed better than the elite Progressives expected, Lena Dunham is taking a keyboard warrior a jab at the presumed Republican front runner via Time magazine. She thought long and hard at the angle through which to shape her attack on the candidate she now presumes will face Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential race and came up with the brilliant idea of targeting Ivanka Trump as a mindless zombie who only made the right choices because she has a rich daddy.Lena Dunham: "Hey Donald Trump, what about your daughter?" https://t.co/t2zkah1bJm— TIME.com (@TIME) February 10, 2016
Dunham didn't exactly put it that way, but she might as well have as that is the essence of what she is implying. The article is rather short and light on deep thought as it posits the following:
Do you understand that your daughter has the remarkable life she does because she had access to excellent medical care and family planning? She had the choice to have two children once she was already married to a high-earning partner, her own career in full bloom. Donald Trump, you seem to take pride in Ivanka’s professional achievements, and she holds a position at your company in addition to her namesake fashion lines—by the way, she makes some very chic bags. Do you understand that, as a businesswoman, she will be constantly facing and may already deal with the possibility of making less for doing as good a job? Would you like it if your own daughter’s merits were assessed by someone like you, someone who thought her looks and her sexual choices and the very sound of her voice were fair game? For one, this is a weak attempt to shame Trump as a sexist. FYI Lena, Trump's supporters know that he has sexist tendencies. Remarkably, they don't care and can't wait for him to slap Hillary around on social media and every news outlet that covers every word he says 24/7.
Lena is the last person who should delve into shaming anyone who grew up in extreme wealth. After all, she was privileged to grow up in a multi-million dollar apartment and went to well-to-do pristine private schools. Her parents, too, gave her the means through which to make the same good choices as Ivanka.
So, what happened? Why so bitter? Or, perhaps, a better question would be "Hey Lena, what about your sister?"
