You’ve probably seen the video or heard the audio by now. Maybe
you’ve read some of the remarks via social media. ROTW’s @JBaileysmom even
posted the video right here yesterday. Ya know, the one with Obama commenting on
the recent shooting at a Planned Parenthood facility with “this just doesn’t
happen in other countries.”
He said that. In Paris. The city still mourning the 130
people murdered by terrorists less than 3 weeks ago. A people with wounds still
raw from the Charlie Hebdo massacre earlier this year.
Really? Really?
Is he so egocentric he would be willfully obtuse to
further the progressive gun control narrative? Or did he simply forget where he
was and how insensitive that statement would sound? After all, spouting off
anti-gun rhetoric must be second nature to him at this point.
His comments seemed unplanned, so it’s doubtful they were
intended to be so ignorantly insensitive. It happens. Foot-in-mouth syndrome is
practically a human epidemic. Whatever it was, if President Obama ever needed to
apologize abroad, that time is now.
