Government as a criminal enterprise in the political protection and extortion racket.

By Rob Janicki

Government in general at least mimics a criminal enterprise in that it protects those who support certain actions it takes and punishes those who fail to heed the writing on the wall to roll over quietly in acquiescence to government wishes, rules and regulations.

Government has been participating in this manner of picking winners and losers in the private sector so long that a facade of legitimacy now enshrouds government and especially those entities that benefit from government largesse in the form of subsidies for goods or services they receive in return for their monetary support.

Government doesn't give out subsidies for the sake of stimulating anything other than its own treasury and the campaign war chests of the ruling politicians.

Of course government is actually made up of political animals that roam the halls of government in bands called political parties and these political animals have a voracious appetite for money to continue their roles as officials elected to public office or as appointed members of the burgeoning federal bureaucracy.

Public sector unions are the largest interest group contributing to this pack of government jackals and hyenas and they contribute overwhelmingly to Democrats.

Government programs are not necessarily or primarily concerned with providing legislatively mandated  services, as much as they are of perpetuating their own existence.  When was the last time anyone heard of a federal agency that was disbanded for any reason, such as lack of a continuing purpose or poor performance?  That's just not the way the politicization of government works.

Extortionists, I mean government, must continue to provide a service at some level for the constituency it is extorting.  Enter professional activists and their neo-Nazi organizations that demand that their particular needs be met for the extortionists to be allowed to continue to milk them for monetary contributions.

Our Founding Fathers would shudder in disbelief to see the extent that government has grown, why it has grown and how politicians have perverted the greatest government system known to mankind that was created to establish and foster individual liberty and freedom above the power of government.
