She Didn't Do Nuffin so Go Fund Her! #BringBackFields

by Kim D.
The incident between a Spring Valley High math student and a school resource officer has taken on a rank, fishy odor. Something just doesn't seem right, considering all the outrage that was sparked by the officer's forceful class removal of the student, when now a growing number of students are protesting the firing of Officer Fields and are calling for his return to Spring Valley High. This is starting to look like a setup to intentionally create an incident where none needed to happen.

Once it was apparent that the intervention from the teacher and administration was not working and that a school resource officer was en route to deal with the unruly student, one classmate started organizing the video shoot that would ultimately suspend the officer and lead to his firing.
Niya Kenny has been making the media rounds and is looking to cash in for her role in the debacle.

Already raising more than $3k by its fourth day in existence, Kenny's lawyer claims the funding request is for counseling, education, and a car:
Ms. Kenny, a Spring Valley upperclassmen, was arrested by former-Deputy Ben Fields for being brave and urging onlookers to stop Fields from brutally attacking a young female classmate during their algebra class. The funds raised for Ms. Kenny will go towards counseling, future educational expenses, and a car.
Why not go for the gold when a similar GoFundMe account set up by the same lawyer for the "Jane Doe" student who actually scuffled with the officer is doing so well?

Jane Doe was the victim of police brutality. While seated in her desk, doing her math work, former Deputy Ben Fields forcibly removed her from the desk by choking her, flipping the desk over while she was still seated, and slinging her six feet across the classroom by her clothes. As a result, she suffers injuries to her ribs, back, neck, shoulder; a broken arm, and abrasions to her face. The funds raised will be put towards medical costs, educational expenses, and any other expenses she has to endure.
After all . . . she didn't do nuffin! Apparently, some students aren't buying it.
