This hysteria was in response to reports that another prisoner was in the van at the time of Gray's arrest who is telling a shocking story that proposes an alternate theory to death by police brutality. According to The Washington Post,A prisoner sharing a police transport van with Freddie Gray told investigators that he could hear Gray “banging against the walls” of the vehicle and believed that he “was intentionally trying to injure himself.”If this is the defense the Baltimore Police try to use to explain the death of Freddie Gray, prepare for the worse. The rage will be Ferguson on steroids.
