Is California's apocalypse coming?

Barbarians have overwhelmed the borders of California beyond the
state's ability to assimilate such large illegal immigration
populations.  The Californian apocalypse is coming.  The only question
is when and how long can liberal progressive politicians put it off
into the distant future when they are no longer in office and
responsible to the voters for the looming disaster they have had a
part in creating.

The once great state of California will never regain its status as
that special place to live and work in America.  California has
literally been overrun and overwhelmed with illegal aliens that have
stretched the state's welfare resources to the breaking point, while
adding less than what this group is adding to the state's revenues in
taxes.  So much of the illegal alien income is under the table and
unaccountable, which make claims that illegal aliens contribute
significantly to the state economy, highly suspect, if not fanciful
political propaganda or outright prevarications.

To make matters worse, the extreme liberal progressive government of
California welcomes this illegal invasion with open arms and open
public coffers.  The state acts as if these illegal aliens will
somehow contribute to the state's revenue and further save the state
from its liberal collision with the reality of running a state into
bankruptcy.  It just won't happen.  California businesses are leaving
the state in greater numbers than those relocating to California or
starting up a business in the Golden State.  California taxes, both
personal income and corporate income are some of the highest, if not
the highest, in America.  California liberal progressive Democrats
continue to delude themselves into believing the never ending dream
that a dead horse can be whipped into line to continue unlimited
spending.

Returning to the thought of the invasion of illegal aliens raises a
very simple and basic conundrum.  For every one illegal alien that
enters the state and eventually becomes a doctor, lawyer, accountant
or other professional, a thousand come here with no discernible
talents to move upward.  California is inundated with illegal aliens
as gardeners, car washers and household help.  The state simply cannot
absorb anymore of these illegal aliens.

What is seldom mentioned is how these illegal aliens affect the job
market for American citizens.  It's the low income class of poor
whites and minorities that are hardest hit by the alien invasion of
illegal immigrants.  Yet many of these same disenfranchised Americans
are the very ones that continue to vote for Democrats that perpetuate
this permanent underclass of the poverty stricken.  These poor
Californians continue living in ghettos and enclaves with little to no
chance to rise above this vast wasteland of humanity plagued by high
rates of crime and a debilitating drug culture guaranteed to keep this
class in poverty forever.

Illegal aliens, seeking employment where they can find a demand for
labor, compete head to head with American citizens.  It's the
willingness of the illegal aliens to accept lower wages in order to
survive, that brings down the level of wages for American citizens.
It's the American citizens who suffer the most in this head to head
competition with illegal aliens and are the least able to afford the
lower wages or the loss of job opportunities in their own country due
to illegal aliens.

Changing direction for a moment in order to be fair, California's
liberal progressive politicians have over spent on programs that have
been meant to curry favor with voters over social program giveaways
and they have over promised state union pension funds that now have
huge amounts of unfunded liabilities going forward.  If that isn't bad
enough, California has indebted itself to create a high speed rail
system between northern and southern California that is quickly
approaching a cost of $100 billion dollars.  The system has no chance
of breaking even, much less making a modest profit for the state.
Every study that has been previously made and which financial
commitments have been made upon, has proven to be well under the
estimates, thus running up the state's indebtedness.

The barbarians may well have been overwhelming the state's fiscal
ability to remain on sound financial grounds, but liberal progressive
Democrats have been right there spending well beyond the revenues of
the state.  California's apocalypse will happen.  It just becomes a
question of when.
