What the hell is wrong with these two educated morons?

By Rob Janicki
Based upon the recent event in Louisiana that saw two young women shot and killed in a movie theater, along with the perpetrator, who took his own life, while injuring nine others, Connecticut's best and brightest United States Senators chimed in with unadulterated bullshit calling for more gun show regulations.

Here's the hitch in their get along cry for more gun control.  John Russell Houser, the movie theater murderer did NOT purchase the firearm he used in the Grand Theater shooting rampage at a gun show or illegally as implied by these two United States Senators.

Say what?  Houser legally purchased his firearm at a pawnshop going through the National Criminal Information Center (NCIC) federal background check process.  Again, Houser LEGALLY purchased the gun he used in this heinous crime.  So, why did these two mental midgets from Connecticut call for increased regulations on gun show firearms purchases?

The answer is simple.  They used a tragic situation and twisted it beyond recognition for their own craven political purposes that have no bearing on reality.  Their call for stricter gun show regulations is despicable, since it has no relation to any recent mass shooting in America.  Every single mass shooting in America in recent times has been done with a firearm that was legally purchased with federal background checks that confirmed the right of the buyer to purchase the gun or guns they eventually used to commit these tragic crimes at a later time.

Further restricting gun purchases at gun shows or anywhere else will have absolutely no bearing on future shootings by those who become mentally disordered over time.  The only effect that such legislation as proposed by Senators Blumenthal and Murphy will have is that it will make it more difficult for the lawful purchase of firearms and that is the goal of these two liberal progressive Democrat politicians.

It's estimated that there are approximately 300 million firearms in the hands of private gun owners across  America.  Making it more difficult to lawfully obtain firearms will in no way diminish the opportunity for someone with criminal intent to acquire a gun outside of the law.  It happens every day in America.  Criminals buy guns, steal guns, trade drugs for guns all over America every day.  Further enhanced gun laws will do nothing to prevent this from happening and I defy any politician to prove otherwise.  If stricter laws were all it takes to prevent an illegal action from occurring, then America would not have a massive national illegal drug problem.

In the end Blumenthal and Murphy are trying to control people, since they cannot control guns legally purchased.
