On Saturday, Hillary Clinton decided to come out of her self imposed media boycott to make a speech to a thousand rabid followers at Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park in New York City. The crowd was small and consisted of forever fervent supporters of Hillary and her self described historic act to become the first woman president, the first grandmother president and every other first that can be imagined, that are all essentially meaningless.
For obvious reasons, Hillary failed to indicate a not so nice first, as the most corrupt woman in American politics today. Call me cynical, but I'm not very confident that Hillary will ever address her failures as Secretary of State or her taking money on behalf of the Clinton Foundation from foreign contributors, all while she was Secretary of State and acting on issues very close to the interests of those foreign donors.
Hillary dragged out each and every liberal progressive political talking point since the days of Woodrow Wilson, which should tell readers how old, tired and worn out Hillary's thinking really is. Listening to Hillary was a lot like listening to MSNBC's collection of talking heads. Hillary never got beyond traditional liberal progressive talking points of identity politics and never even approached any substantive policy particulars she would seek to establish, should she become president.
Basically, Hillary rolled out all the old liberal cliches and attack points of class warfare, economic inequality between the very wealthy and the very poor, racism, feminism, LGBT issues and every other liberal delusion since the beginning of liberal progressivism. There was absolutely nothing new in what Hillary addressed. It was Hillary's 2008 presidential campaign recycled all over again. Hillary and her talking points were tired, haggard and completely non responsive to any of the charges of corruption and incompetence that have been made by people of many political persuasions.
Hillary even brought out her mother's Horatio Alger like life story, as if that has anything to do with her own story of the acquisition and accumulation of great wealth, power and political elitism.
Hillary's speech was simply a stem winder with listeners, other than liberals, waiting for Hillary to lay out some policy specifics with measurable substance to them. It never happened. It was a high school pep rally, rather than a 21st century political coming out speech meant to capture the attention of America. Hillary is plainly an "old school" politician trying to make herself relevant in a world she is out of touch with.
