Cheering for a Transgender Cheerleader

by Kim D.
In the small town of Denair, CA, they are celebrating. The high school is boasting its first transgender cheerleader. Anry Fuentes is thrilled with his new role at school and all of the attention it brings. He had previously tried out for the team but was unsuccessful. Now Fuentes finds himself in the right place at the right time in a politically correct culture that selected Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner as the woman of the year.
“Just really wanted to be on the squad. I’m so happy, and I just wanted to be, like, a cheerleader out there cheering on the boys, not just on the sidelines,” Fuentes said.
In further support, students and teachers also pitched in to buy Fuentes' uniform which comes with the hefty price tag of $600. Apparently, the teen couldn't afford to purchase the uniform because he doesn't have the support of one critical person: his mom.
For the most part, the Denair community has been very accepting. But there is at least one person who Fuentes hopes will change her mind, and that’s her mother.
“Well my mom kicked me out,” she said.
