Righting On the Wall Special Report: DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz From A to Z

By the staff of Righting On The Wall

And we’re not talking Playboy – although ‘Hustler’ might be appropriate for her.  A lot of information has been rounded up by Righting on the Wall and the overall picture it paints is one of lies, deceit, ignorance, and incompetence, just to name a few. We want to lay out the whole ugly story of Little Debbie so that you, our readers, can decide for yourself.  And you readers in Florida – pay careful attention.

Frankly, we are tired of looking at her face (which is why we wanted to get it over with) so let’s move on to some hard numbers regarding her campaign donors. Lawyers and lobbyists are at the top of the list, along with alcohol, which explains a lot.

And from Americans for Prosperity comes her Congressional report card.

Little Debbie is failing and needs to be schooled some more.  And actually, take a look at ALL the grades on this page, which is partial and just a screenshot.  I just noticed the Dems fail miserably.  And after going back to the full page of state-by-state reps and scanning thru Dems vs. GOP, they all pretty much fail miserably. You can also look at your own state’s reps at the link above.

In the current term 2011-2012 of Little Debbie:
  • 8 Sponsored Bills (Ranks 296 of 440), 0 Made Into Law (Ranks 50 of 440)
  • 190 Co-Sponsored Bills (Ranks 97 of 440), 6 Made Into Law (Ranks 26 of 440)
  • Votes along party lines 95% of the time.
Now that we’ve got you primed on a little background of who Little Debbie is politically, let’s take a look at the cold, hard facts of her ignorance, lies, and hypocritical lifestyle as one of the ‘middle class’.

Just how did Little Debbie rise to top of the Democratic party as their lead hack?  PJ Media did this piece back in August of 2012, explaining how this ‘party girl’ rose through the ranks as a virtual unknown….I’m seeing visions of an unknown Obama here.

In asking himself the question about how Little Debbie came to be such a party hack, Jean Kaufman first thinks she’s a lawyer because of her skill at parsing words and splitting hairs (which is probably why Little Debbie’s hair always looks like a high-voltage mess – my commentary).

But no, Wasserman Schultz is not a lawyer. It should come as no surprise that she is exactly what she appears to be, a person whose adult life has been dedicated to politics to an extent rare even among today’s politicians:

She received a Bachelor of Arts in 1988 and a Master of Arts with certificate in political campaigning in 1990, both in Political Science, from the University of Florida in Gainesville. At the University of Florida, Wasserman Schultz was active in student government, serving as President of the Student Senate as well as founder and president of the Rawlings Area Council Government.

After school, she started politicking, becoming an aide to Peter Deutsch. When his seat became available, he suggested she run for it and she did, winning 53% of the vote in a 6-way runoff to succeed Deutsch in Florida’s House of Representatives. From there, she went on to the state Senate, and then the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2004 election.  And how did she become the DNC Chair?  Old Joe Biden anointed her:

On April 5, 2011, Vice President Joe Biden announced that she was President Barack Obama’s choice to succeed Tim Kaine as the 52nd Chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

And that, little children, is how ultra-liberal politicians – who cannot decipher right from wrong, fact from fiction, or truth from a lie - are born.

This article is from American Thinker, 4 Jun 2012:

Debbie Wasserman Schultz: Constitutionally Ignorant and Politically Tone-Deaf

A Miami synagogue recently canceled DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz's planned speech about "Maintaining a Strong U.S.-Israel Relationship" at a Friday night religious service after an influential Republican member of the congregation, Stanley Tate, resigned.

The Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel published an editorial shortly after the incident decrying the temple's "stifling" of Wasserman Schultz's speech and criticizing the synagogue for "advanc[ing] the voices of intolerance."  What the editorial board of the Sun-Sentinel failed to tell its readers was that Mr. Tate had not wanted Schultz's speech muffled, but had merely asked for equal time for rebuttal and to have the entire discussion moved to a venue other than in the sanctuary during a religious service.  It was a plea to his congregation of 70 years (whose Joni & Stanley Tate Early Childhood Center bears his family's name) not to endorse or give even an appearance of religious endorsement of Wasserman Schultz's political speech, and by extension a religious endorsement of President Obama and the Democratic Party's 2012 election campaign message.

When it comes to ‘separation of church and state’ – which, by the way, I abhor because it’s not in any of our founding documents nor Bill of Rights – Little Debbie has no problem endorsing Obama and the democratic party at a synagogue. But when the GOP calls her out on it, then they’re the ones stifling everyone’s speech rights.  However, Little Debbie has had her own stifling moments.

Little Debbie didn’t approve of then Gov Jeb Bush’s display inside the governor’s office back in 03-04.  It wasn’t a Nativity scene or a display of the 10 Commandments. It was a greeting card on the bulletin board hanging above the receptionist’s desk.  What horrible thing was this greeting card showing? Naked women? Naked Jewish Women? Naked Jewish liberal women? No – it was an American flag superimposed with a white cross. The artwork was designed by a Tallahassee photog to commemorate 9/11. And what was the hurtful message it sent, according to Little Debbie?  “…that the country was a "Christian nation."  Needless to say, Jeb didn’t bother with a response.
I hope Little Debbie has never gone to Arlington Cemetary because she would faint at all the white crosses she’d see there.

From Weasel Zippers come this 6 Sep declaration:

“It Must Feel Like Heaven” To Live In California Because It Is An “Oasis of Democratic Politics”…

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the Democratic National Committee chairwoman and congresswoman from Florida, was at ease this morning among a group of Democrats from deep-blue California.

“Let me just tell you how much I appreciate the oasis of Democratic politics that California is,” she said at a delegation breakfast on the final day of the Democratic National Convention. ”I know that you all feel like you live in heaven.”

A man in the audience yelled, “We do!” and Wasserman Schultz said, “Understandably so.”

Actually, democratic heaven sounds like hell on earth in California:

report by the State Budget Solutions Project of the Sunshine Review, a state and local government watchdog group, shows that total state debt in California is more than $617 billion — more than any other state in the union.

California’s state debt is more than twice that of New York’s — at about $300 billion — and has increased from SBP’s 2011 debt report. California had $612 billion in debt last year.

The state of California also has more debt than the financially troubled nation Greece, which has more than $423 billion in public debt, according to the Economist.

That’s her idea of heaven – debt upon debt upon debt. People are leaving California in droves. I was one of them back in ’94 and my parents are hoping to get the heck out of there next year. They’re overrun with illegals and crime, the likes of which they’ve never seen in their 40 years of living in California.  It’s not an oasis anymore – it’s a cesspool.

Another Weasel Zippers piece from 11 Sep:

Former Komen Executive Says DNC Chief Wasserman Schultz Made “Extremely Ugly” Call To Charity’s Founder After Planned Parenthood Funding Cut.

In her new tell-all book, “Planned Bullyhood,” former Susan G. Komen executive Karen Handel paints Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) as one of the most intimidating of the “schoolyard thugs” that forced Komen to reverse its decision to pull grants from Planned Parenthood.

Handel accuses Wasserman Schultz of placing a phone call to Komen founder Nancy Brinker that was “extremely ugly in its tone” on the night before news broke that Komen would block grants for cancer screening to Planned Parenthood. She writes that Wasserman Schultz, the chair of the Democratic National Committee, told Brinker she would regret the decision and scolded her for hiring Handel, a known anti-abortion advocate.

“According to Nancy, Wasserman Schultz raised one additional issue: me,” Handel writes. “I wrote down precisely what Nancy said Wasserman Schultz had said: ‘How dare you hire someone who was diametrically opposed to Planned Parenthood.’”

Straight from Obama’s Chicagoland Thug Politics 101 handbook.  Is it appropriate for a member of Congress – and the DNC chair - to harass a private organization and demand they fall in line regarding who they give grants to?  The reason Karen Handel was against the grant was not political at all. It was because of  an  ongoing congressional investigation into the family planning provider, led by Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Fla.).  The democrats, the MSM, and Planned Parenthood made it political.

But of course, that’s not what Little Debbie meant at all:

"As a cancer survivor, and as a strong advocate for women’s reproductive health, the Chair has been a strong supporter of both Komen and Planned Parenthood," Woodhouse told The Huffington Post. "In her call with Nancy Brinker, with whom she has had a long and friendly relationship, the Chair expressed her concern that the controversy surrounding Komen’s decision to drop its support for Planned Parenthood would do harm to both organizations and their respective causes. The characterization of the call as threatening could not be further from the truth." Brad Woodhouse, communications director for the Democratic National Committee

You’re right - it can’t be further from the truth because none of what was said above is truthful to begin with. I would say when someone strikes up a conversation and starts it with ‘How dare you…’, that’s not such a friendly and/or nonthreatening tone.

From 14 September, the Sunshine State News ran a piece about Little Debbie’s popularity slipping away.  Amongst the reasons: embarrassing shoot-from-the-hip misstatements, downright inaccuracies and even a charge of thuggery.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz's Popularity Takes a Nosedive

Chief among Wasserman Schultz's problems are three issues: her claims pertaining to Israel, the Republicans' platform and her personal threats to the head of the Susan G. Komen Foundation over Planned Parenthood.

We’ve discussed Planned Parenthood above and will be touching on Israel and the DNC further along in this piece.

"She's blowing her status with her own party, that's the buzz, and she just might have blundered herself into trouble for her re-election campaign back home in South Florida," he said.

The issue at hand was the Anderson Cooper interview regarding her assertion that the Romney campaign directly wrote the GOP platform.

“Do you at least acknowledge that the quote you gave from the L.A. Times is completely incorrect?” asked CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Aug. 23.

“No, I don’t acknowledge that. What I’m saying is that it doesn’t matter,” Wasserman Schultz replied. She avoided further answering the question or admitting to any fault in the quote.

And her misdeeds continue as regards Israel.  She said this:

“We know, and I’ve heard no less than Ambassador Michael Oren say this, that what the Republicans are doing is dangerous for Israel.” Her comment was reported by the Washington Examiner newspaper, yet she denied it over and over, on CNN and to Politico.

“I will reiterate that they did deliberately misquote me,” she told CNN’s Don Lemon on Sept. 8.

But Wasserman Schultz was caught red-handed again. The Washington Post and PolitiFact, run by the Tampa Bay Times, appropriately gave her four “Pinocchios” (Post) and a “pants on fire” (Times) rating for her denial. It even caused the Israeli ambassador to publicly distance himself from Wasserman Schultz’s statements.

“I categorically deny that I ever characterized Republican policies as harmful to Israel. Bipartisan support is a paramount national interest for Israel, and we have great friends on both sides of the aisle,” the ambassador said in a written statement.

And therein lies the MO of libs, and Little Debbie: cover, cover, cover – duck, duck, duck.  She has, however, taken Winston Churchill’s famous quote, in part, a little too far:

Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in… Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”

Those pointing out lies, deception, and inconsistencies are the enemy.  She overlooked the meat of the quote, however:

“…except to convictions of honour and good sense…”  And that’s where she failed.

And speaking of good sense, Little Debbie thinks that winning is actually a loss:

According to Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, it was a loss for Mitt Romney when he won Iowa and it was a loss for Mitt Romney when he won New Hampshire. But it’s not just that she thinks winning is losing that’s batty; it’s that she thinks both Iowa and New Hampshire provide evidence that the Republican electorate is not excited to go to the polls in November 2012.

Tuesday night, DWS had this to say: “In addition to that, the Republican turnout was off about 40 percent from the turnout in 2008, showing that this is not a field that their side is very enthusiastic about.”

In actuality, the turnout for the New Hampshire primary set a new record for the GOP:

Voter turnout Tuesday set a record for a Republican presidential primary but fell short of the Democrats’ turnout record set four years ago. The Secretary of State’s office released county, city and town summaries showing that 247,223 votes were cast for candidates on the Republican ballot.  That’s a turnout of 45 percent of the 546,411 names of Republican and undeclared voters on the Jan. 4 checklist.  Gardner said that 60,996 voted in the Democratic primary, far short of the 75,000 he had predicted. Of those, 49,480, or 81 percent voted for President Barack Obama. He noted that in 1996, when Bill Clinton was running for reelection uncontested, there were about 93,000 votes cast in the Democratic primary, which was 82 percent of the votes cast.

It would appear that the GOP voters are revved up while it is the libs that are thinking ‘meh’ when it comes to voting.  So if Little Debbie could please explain how winning is actually losing and how a record turnout is actually a decline of 40%, then I’ll believe that she has some common sense.

Aside from the lack of common sense, Little Debbie stuck her neck out in the worst way by supporting the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), which attracted great protests from the technology field, notably Google and Wiki.  And, if you can believe it, she was even left of Obama on this issue.

Wasserman Schultz's support of the bill highlights daylight between her and President Obama. Over the weekend the Obama administration expressed concern the legislation could potentially restrict the openness of the Internet.

“Any effort to combat online piracy must guard against the risk of online censorship of lawful activity and must not inhibit innovation by our dynamic businesses large and small,” the president’s advisers wrote in a statement on Saturday.

President Obama “will not support legislation that reduces freedom of expression,” White House spokesman Jay Carney said Tuesday.

Not that I believe anything Jay Carney regurgitates as Gospel truth from Obama as far as our rights are concerned.  So after much soul-searching {not really}, Little Debbie’s camp came out with this statement:

“The Congresswoman recognizes that we need to have legislation that balances a strong, open, and free internet, while at the same time protecting Americans from companies that profit by stealing and repackaging other people’s work,” said Mara Sloan, Wasserman Schultz's press secretary. “She has heard from constituents both for and against the legislation and she feels strongly that we need to find a balanced compromise.”

That’s code for, “Little Debbie is holding her political finger up into the wind to see which way the winds are blowing. And a gale-force explosion is heading her way so she’s decided to ‘compromise’ in order to save her political ass’.

We might have an ounce of respect for you, Little Debbie, if you’d at least have the cojones to stand up for what you believe in, even it is diametrically opposed to all that is good and right and just in this land.  On second thought, no we wouldn’t. You’d still be a far-left liberal hack who’s only worried about her job and rising to the top of the political ladder.

Now let’s segue into her plan to rise to the top – and not necessarily politically but financially.  By all accounts, she actually seems to already be there, all the while labeling herself as ‘middle class’.

Javier Manjarres of The Shark Tank ran this piece on 11 Sept:

Wasserman Schultz’s Luxury Cars and Growing Net Worth Raise Questions
Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has famously stated that she is a “middle class American,” and it was this very claim that prompted many of her critics to openly question whether or not it was a realistic assessment of her personal income and assets.

Subsequent reviews of Wasserman Schultz’ congressional financial disclosures revealed a not widely known fact that she owns a second home in New Hampshire and is also not required to disclose her husband’s salary, which could very easily put her family among the top 1% of income earners in the country.  In addition, the Shark Tank recently reported that the Congresswoman splurged on a one-week luxury cruise ship vacation that cost tens of thousands of dollars- hardly an expenditure that ‘middle-class’ Americans can avail themselves of.  (Source -N.H Home/Cruise Ship)

According to those financial disclosure forms, Mr. and Mrs. Schultz of Weston, Florida have seen their assets almost  double since she was elected to the U.S. Congress in 2005.  When comparing Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz’s 2005 disclosure form with her 2011 form, the only other salary she drew besides her congressional salary was $26,320 she received from the Democrat National Committee.

And here’s a pic of her middle class vehicles:

The Little Debbie Wasserman-Schultz’s own or lease $100K in automobiles (seen above are  a Corvette and Infinity, complete with Congressional plates and Little Debbie’s own DWS vanity plates) and own 2 homes that are estimated to be worth $1M.  It makes you wonder what her husband’s salary is at the Community Bank of Broward.

The forms also state that Mr. Schultz’s salary is “$1,000 or more,” or “N/A” but don’t disclose his salary at Community Bank of Broward, where he is a bank vice president.

Again, Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz is not obligated to disclose her husband’s salary, but it is curious that the amount of Community Bank of Broward stock the Schultz’s had first acquired in 2005 does appear to have doubled according to her 2011 financial disclosures.

Is Mr. Schultz being compensated with company stock instead of a salary, or both?

And that cruise they took? That was a whopper.  How many of you middle class citizens can afford to pay for a $33K cruise?  And at that price, you wouldn’t be in regular old rooms below deck.

A source who says he was on the same ship told Manjarres that "Wasserman Schultz took the cruise with her husband Steve and three children along with Broward County School Board member Robin Bartleman and her family."
According to Manjarres' source, Wasserman Schultz and her party stayed in a two-story "Loft Suite" with a spiral staircase on the 17th deck that "overlooked the rear of the ship."
Manjarres wrote that "a 7-Day Cruise for 4 guests ranges from $15,264.08 in the Crown Loft Suite, to $19,364.08 in the Sky Loft Suite. These two types of suites are only found on the 17th Deck."
Maritime law, however, requires "that families of five or more that wish to reside in a ‘Loft Suite’ are mandated to upgrade to the Royal Loft Suite as per safety regulations," he learned after contacting Royal Caribbean.
The cost for such a suite: $33,151.65, including taxes.
Yowza!  Some people don’t even make that kind of money in a year.  And if they did, it would all go to things like taxes, child care, bills.  Is Little Debbie entitled to go on vacation? Absolutely. But she’s one of many that claims to be ‘middle class’ yet her own lifestyle and records would suggest otherwise. She has also been one of a number of liberals that have brought up Mitt Romney’s unwillingness to disclose what’s on his tax returns (which he has since done) – WHAT IS HE HIDING?
Well, Little Debbie – we’d like to ask you the same question.  Slowly but surely, little nuggets of info are leaking out about your ‘middle class’ lifestyle and extravagances. And we’ve asked you, as well as Dirty Harry Reid and Plastic Pelosi about their tax returns. And this is what we’ve gotten:
"Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz will join Massachusetts Democratic Party Chair John Walsh to discuss former Governor Mitt Romney’s history of fighting transparency amid new reports that the Republican presidential candidate has secret bank accounts in foreign tax havens," a Democratic National Committee press release states.
The goal for Wasserman Schultz is clear: To get Romney to release tax returns and other financial documents.
But the irony of today's event is rich: Debbie Wasserman Schultz has refused--and continues to refuse--to release her own tax returns.
Wasserman Schultz has an annual salary of $174,000, which is the standard rate for members of Congress.
Her congressional opponent, Republican Karen Harrington, called for Little Debbie to share with us her tax returns this past April:
“Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz’s request of Governor Romney to release his tax returns screams of hypocrisy, because to the best of our knowledge, Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz has never released a single tax return of her own. As a member of Congress, she is required to release a yearly ‘financial disclosure,’ this yearly disclosure is not a tax return.

“While asking for Governor Romney to release his past tax returns, and In keeping with the spirit of President Obama’s call for ‘full transparency,’ we ask Congressman Wasserman Schultz to release her own tax returns.”
Why not go above and beyond the call of duty, Little Debbie – be completely transparent and above board? What do YOU have to hide?
Maybe they’re working on the non-existent budget of the past three years. No, that can’t be it. They’re more interested in Romney’s taxes – that evil capitalist. And they even introduced a bill to require a president to release at least 10 years worth.
Congressional Democrats haven’t given the federal government a budget in three years, but they’ve got plenty of time for political theater.  Their latest effort is a bill introduced in the House by Rep. Sander Levin (D-MI) to require presidential candidates (cough Mitt cough Romney cough cough) to release ten years’ worth of tax returns.
The Constitution disagrees, having included no such legal requirement for presidential office.  Changing the requirements in the middle of a presidential race would be even more dubious, to the extent anyone cares about the letter or intent of the Constitution any more.
Congressional representatives are noticeably reticent about releasing the sort of information they’re demanding from Mitt Romney.  A McClatchy article on Thursday noted that “just 17 out of the 535 members of Congress released their most recent tax forms or provided some similar documentation of their tax liabilities” in response to requests from the news service.  19 of them flatly refused, while the rest didn’t bother to respond at all.

Among those refusing to pony up was DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida, one of the most strident voices demanding Romney’s tax returns.  Wasserman Schultz herself has offshore investments, and a secret second home in New Hampshire.  Clearly she believes different standards of “disclosure” apply to her finances.

Confronted with this astonishing hypocrisy, Wasserman Schultz stammered, “I file full financial disclosure required under the law.”  But full compliance with the law isn’t good enough for Mitt Romney, right?
Exactly. They are just looking for something that will adequately cause a distraction from Obama’s poor political record and failures.  Even after turning over 20 years worth of data, Harry Reid then said Romney’s accountants were ‘financial wizards who manipulated the data to make him (Mitt) look good to the American people’.  It doesn’t matter how much you give them, they’ll find something else to cover their first misdeed.
But let’s get back to Little Debbie, shall we?  And let’s now turn to her Swiss bank accounts, interest in an offshore drug company, and another bank account in India, since we’re talking about full disclosure all the while slamming Romney for his lifestyle.
"Americans need to ask themselves, why does an American businessman need a Swiss bank account and secretive investments like that?" the DNC chair (Debbie Wasserman-Schultz), a chief surrogate for President Obama's reelection team, said on Fox News Sunday two days ago. "Just something, a thought, that I'd like to leave folks with."
But disclosure forms reveal that in 2010, Wasserman Schultz invested between $1,001-$15,000 in a 401k retirement fund run by Davis Financial Fund. As the fund discloses, it is invested in the Julius Baer Group Ltd. and the State Bank of India GDR Ltd., as well as other financial, insurance, bank institutions.
"The Julius Baer Group is the leading Swiss private banking group, focusing exclusively on the demands of sophisticated private clients, family offices and external asset managers from around the world," its website explains. "Bank Julius Baer is the principal operating company of the Julius Baer Group, with origins dating back to 1890. The rich Swiss heritage becomes manifest in the values for which the Bank stands, e.g. trustworthiness, accountability, discretion and expertise. However, at the same time Julius Baer is a modern, forward-looking company at the leading edge of a genuine growth industry."
Similarly, according to disclosure forms from 2004, Wasserman Schultz had holdings in the Fidelity Advisor Overseas Fund. That fund is invested in HSBC bank (a British financial institution), Hengdeli Holdings (a Hong Kong watch company), Novo Nordisk (a Danish drug company), Volkswagen (a German auto company), Rakuten (a Japanese shipping business), Richemont Cie Financiere (a Swiss luxury goods company), and many others.
To be clear, there is nothing in Debbie Wasserman Schultz's disclosure forms to suggest that the DNC chair invested in anything illegal. But it is clear that some of her holdings had investments overseas, in Swiss banks, foreign drug companies, the state bank of India, and many other overseas holdings.
Little Debbie, quite contrary, how your nose does grow! I’d like to ask my fellow middle-class patriots:  how many of you have a Swiss bank account? {cricket noises…} How many of you have holdings at numerous companies and institutions overseas? {more cricket noises…}  How many of you even have a bank account that has over $5K in it at any given time?  Are you guys awake?  If this is how the ‘middle class’ lives, then I’m doing it all wrong.  The hypocrisy of this woman, and the likes of Pelosi and Reid and so many others, is just mind-boggling.  And it’s so obvious and transparent, even when they think they’re being secretive.

Says she was misquoted and "didn’t say" that the Israeli ambassador said "what the Republicans are doing is dangerous for Israel."  Caught on tape!

"Mitt Romney is the first major party candidate for president of the United States in modern times not to release at least 12 years of tax returns." Reagan released one

"The Koch brothers alone gave twice as much money to Scott Walker as the total amount of money raised by Tom Barrett." No evidence it was near that amount

Says Mitt Romney’s campaign "has already spent more on negative ads than John McCain did during his entire presidential run." 2012 more than 2008 already? Nope.

After losing 750,000 jobs a month before this administration, the U.S. economy under Barack Obama has had 20 straight months of growth, has added 2.8 million jobs in the private sector and added "millions of jobs in manufacturing." Way off on the estimate of manufacturing jobs

In the New York 9th District, "there is a large number of people who went to the polls tonight who didn't support the president to begin with and don't support Democrats -- and it's nothing more than that." NY-9 ain't Wyoming

"We actually have not required in this law that you carry health insurance." If it walks like an individual mandate and quacks...

Okay, the ick factor of these deceptions and falsehoods making these meters go wild is enough for me.

Now on to the DNC convention and the Jewish vote – and the two are intertwined.
First, let’s talk about the DNC lies concerning their civil rights record.  These lies include both Little Debbie and Virginia Senate nominee Tim Kaine, who preceded Little Debbie. These lies are prominent and at the center of their website.
In Sep 2010, Tim Kaine launched the new DNC website. There are only 2 lies – but those are 2 too many.
Lie Number One: Check the "Our History" section, found here of the DNC's website. See it? The history section -- now written to reflect the history of the Obama administration -- begins with this breathtakingly bold lie:

For more than 200 years, our party has led the fight for civil rights…..

Lie Number Two: Then check here to see the DNC's "Issues" section on civil rights. That section begins with a second bold lie. This one:

Democrats have a long and proud history of defending Civil Rights and expanding opportunity for all Americans.

The DNC website in both its history and issues sections is literally wiped clean of any reference that this is the party that spent platform after platform after platform building a culture of racism.

Today, we call that ‘playing the race card’.

Kaine did this short video of the dem’s storied past of how ‘Democrats are the party of Jefferson, who declared that we are all created equal. And we worked long and hard to make that real’.

Isn’t that fabulous? But here’s what they left out: 1809-1920. Jefferson left the WH in 1809 and between then and 1920, a whole lot happened that they aren’t so proud of. But maybe nobody will notice…oopsy:
  • Supported slavery in 6 platforms from 1840-1860.
  • Opposed the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments to the Constitution that successively wiped out slavery and gave both legal rights and voting rights to black Americans.
  • Supported segregation actively or by silence in 20 platforms from 1868-1948.
  • Opposed anti-lynching laws, specifically supported by the GOP in four platforms between 1912 and 1928.
  • Opposed the GOP-sponsored Civil Rights Acts of 1866, which focused on legal equality for blacks.
  • Opposed the GOP on giving voting rights to blacks in the District of Columbia in 1867. The legislation was passed over the Democrats' objection.
  • Nominated an 1868 presidential ticket of New York Governor Horatio Seymour and ex-Missouri Congressman Francis Blair. The Democrats pledged they would declare the Civil Rights laws passed by the GOP "null and void" and would refuse to enforce them. They lost to Ulysses Grant.
  • Opposed the Enforcement Acts, three laws passed by the GOP between 1870 and 1871 targeting the rise of the Ku Klux Klan and making it a federal crime to block the right of blacks to vote, hold office, serve on juries and have equal protection of the laws with whites.
  • Opposed the GOP Civil Rights Act of 1875, which prohibited discrimination of blacks in public accommodations.
  • Used the Ku Klux Klan as what Columbia University historian Eric Foner calls "a military force serving the interests of the Democratic Party." Nor is there reference to University of North Carolina historian Allen Trelease's description of the Klan as the "terrorist arm of the Democratic Party." Nor is there mention of the infamous 1924 Democratic Convention -- the "Klanbake" as it is known to history because hundreds of the delegates were Klan members. The Klan-written platform mixed the traditional Democratic message of progressivism and racism in the Klan-written platform.
  • Repealed the Civil Rights laws enacted by GOP Congresses and presidents, already damaged by the Supreme Court. When Democrats gained control of both Congress and the White House in 1892, the Democrats' President Grover Cleveland signed the repeal on February 8, 1894.
Of course, you’re not going to see that on the DNC website and you won’t hear anyone in the MSM talking about it. But for fun, pick up a copy of Bruce Bartlett's Wrong on Race: The Democratic Party's Buried Past. It’s spelled out in great detail.

Now, from the websites lies to more of Little Debbie lies.  Just this month, Hadassah magazine.org conducted an interview with Little Debbie.
Q. Why are you so supportive of President Obama’s positions regarding Israel?

A.
Look at his incredible record. He proposed more than $3 billion in aid to Israel in a very difficult economy because he recognizes how important Israel’s security is. He authorized and supported $205 million for the Iron Dome missile defense system, which is effective against rocket attacks that have been occurring mercilessly against Israel. He authorized the sale of the bunker buster bombs, where President Bush had declined. I would argue he has been a better, more consistent friend to Israel than previous administrations.

Holy guacamole. The incredible record? President Bush declined because in 2005, as reported by AFP, the Pentagon had frozen joint US-Israeli defense projects, fearful that Israel was transferring advanced military technology to China, according to Newsweek. However in 2007, Bush informed then-Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert that the bombs would be ready for delivery in 2009 or 2010, even though the Israelis wanted them immediately. So what she said, as phrased, was a lie. And a better, more consistent, friend is Obama? I think not. Obama rebuffed Bibi when he requested to come to the WH on a special visit while visiting the UN. David Letterman, Beyonce, and Jay-Z took precedence in his ‘busy schedule’. And Obama won’t see him at the UN either. And he’s never been to Israel as of yet which isn’t unusual as other presidents didn’t make it a priority either. But where has he visited? Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Turkey, France, Russia, Mexico, China, Chile, and Columbia to name but a few. He’s got time to fund raise around the globe but can’t find a slot for Israel, whether over there or in his own backyard.

Q. If that is so, why the sharp criticism from so many American Jews?
A. No one is happy with government right now. But polling continues toshow overwhelming support for Democrats and President Obama in the Jewish community. There appears to be no danger that we are going to lose the Jewish vote. Republicans are doing their best to cut into this, saying anything—regardless of the facts—because in battleground states like Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio there are sizable Jewish populations.

Polling. You mean the continually skewed numbers that the liberal MSM comes up with? Why is there a 7% drop in Jewish support in your state of FL, Little Debbie? And how is this possible?

Obama's support down 25% in key demographic

One group in particular stands out in its decline in support for President Obama.
President Obama may be enjoying a slight, if likely temporary, bounce in the polls this week. But one of the surveys showing him with a lead in a tight race over Mitt Romney also provides a breakdown of the data that confirms predictions that he is losing up to a quarter of the Jewish votes he got in 2008. The Investors Business Daily/Christian Science Monitor/TIPP Poll gives a breakdown of religion along with other demographic groups and shows Obama leading among Jews by a margin of 59 to 35 percent with six percent undecided. While that is still a majority it is a dramatic decline from the 78 percent of the Jewish vote he got four years ago.
Obama has a 46-44 percent lead over Romney in the TIPP poll. That means Obama is suffering from a decline in support throughout the electorate from his 2008 victory when he won 53 percent of the vote. But the president's loss of approximately 25 percent of Jewish voters this year is not matched by a similar decline in any other demographic group.

So who is saying anything, regardless of facts again?
Q. Looking ahead, what will be the news the morning after the November elections?

A. The headline will be “President Barack Obama Re-elected.” I am confident because he has been fighting so hard to get the economy turned around and create jobs, because he has clearly understood the long-term priorities of America, making sure we can out-compete, out-innovate and out-educate our competitors so we can remain on top.… He has
taken us from bleeding out 750,000 jobs a month to...[more than] 20 straight months of private-sector job growth. The Republicans seem to be rooting for the economy to fail.
It seems Little Debbie is doing some ‘manufacturing’ of her own. This is from an article on FactCheck.org in Nov 2011 – and this is where Debbie first started spouting these same numbers, which she’s been regurgitating for the past year.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz wrongly claimed that the U.S. has begun to add “millions of jobs in manufacturing.” About 800,000 manufacturing jobs have been lost during President Obama’s time in office, reaching a low of about 11.5 million in December 2009. Since then, about 303,000 manufacturing jobs have been created — not “millions.” At the current pace, the country will not return to the pre-Obama manufacturing job level until August 2016.

Wasserman Schultz, Nov. 13: Well, what I concede is that we do have a long way to go, but we absolutely have begun to turn things around, and we have made steady, but not quick enough progress. I mean, before President Obama took office, we were losing 750,000 jobs a month, David. And now we’ve had 20 straight months of growth in the private sector. We’ve added 2.8 million jobs in the private sector alone, begun to add, you know, millions of jobs in pri — in manufacturing. We’re starting to focus on making things in America again.

The Florida congresswoman is correct that when the president took office, job losses were exceptionally high…But Wasserman Schultz is wrong about gains in manufacturing. Since Obama took office, there has been a net loss of 800,000 manufacturing jobs, hitting a low of about 11.5 million in December 2009, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In the past 22 months, since that low point, about 303,000 manufacturing jobs have been created for a monthly average of 13,772.

At the current pace of recovery (measuring from the low point to today), the U.S. would not produce 1 million manufacturing jobs until January 2016, and jobs in that industry would not return to pre-Obama levels until August 2016. It would take until 2022 to add at least 2 million jobs — the minimum required for “millions” to be accurate.

We contacted the DNC about this claim, and spokesman Brad Woodhouse said that Wasserman Schultz “simply misspoke.”

Woodhouse, Nov. 16: She simply misspoke on the manufacturing side where she usually says hundreds of thousands — her point though is no less relevant — as you’ll see below — manufacturing has played an important role in the 20 consecutive months of private sector job growth we have experienced …

Okay, she simply 'misspoke' back in Nov 2011. Is she STILL misspeaking in Sep 2012 then or can we call it what it is – a big, fat lie and deception. I’d say the headline on 7 Nov will be ‘Free at last, free at last….thank God almighty, we’re free at last!’ But don’t feel so glum, Debbie – maybe you can get a job on Obama’s staff at his $35M middle-class home in Hawaii, which, by the way, is being spearheaded by Penny Pritzker, the Hyatt Hotel chain heiress. What fund raising doesn’t pay for, she’ll pay for out of pocket. That’s quite a nice middle class lady, don’t you think?

And how is the Jewish community fairing with the DNC, of which Little Debbie is a member? First, let’s take you down memory lane to earlier this year. DNC aide Dani Gilbert, who is the daughter of prominent Democratic fundraiser Mark Gilbert posted these pictures of herself and friends holding up dollar bills and calling themselves ‘Jewbags’ and ‘Jew cash money team’, as well as showing herself as a party girl (amongst other things) on Facebook (which, by the way, are no longer available but screenshots were preserved).

This is a staffer in Little Debbie’s office AND she was also appointed as the DNC’s Jewish outreach liaison. That last pic shows you just how much she’s reaching out.

Another newsworthy item that didn’t get as much press was Little Debbie canceling a SCHEDULED appearance at the annual fundraising dinner for EMERGE USA. Who are they? I’m glad you asked:

A radical Muslim group with ties to the Obama Administration will be featuring the head of the Democratic National Committee, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, as the keynote speaker for its annual fundraising banquet this coming April. By agreeing to partake in the event, Wasserman Schultz is helping to further this organization’s nefarious agenda of placing Islamists into positions of American power and influence. It is this stealth jihad which threatens our country not from abroad, but from within.

According to the organization’s mission statement, “EMERGE [Empowering Motivating Educating Resourceful Grassroots Entities] aims to politically empower and train its constituents to be effective community organizers and work in coalitions to advance beneficial policies and legislation that help protect and enforce the rights afforded by the United States Constitution.”

The mission, as does their name, sounds like a patriotic one attached to a noble cause. However, the extremism exhibited by the leaders of the group paints an entirely different picture – one of an organization with a sinister motive to place radicals within key circles of political power.

Wasserman Schultz likes to flaunt her Jewish identity and (false) pro-Israel persona, but how can she begin to do so, when the organization she will be addressing maintains staff who display animosity towards the Jewish state?

Before coming to EMERGE, Abdelaziz was the Project Coordinator for United Voices of America (UVA), a group founded and headed by Ahmed Bedier. Bedier, who had previously been involved with the Hamas-related Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), was embroiled in controversy when he helped facilitate an October 2010 fundraiser for U.S. Senator Bill Nelson. According to Nelson, whom Abdelaziz was once a staffer for, when he learned about past anti-Israel statements Bedier had made, he returned a $500 campaign contribution that Bedier gave to him.

On the announcement showing Wasserman Schultz as EMERGE USA’s keynote speaker, the RSVP contact for the event is listed as one Rasheed Shihada. On Shihada’s Facebook site, apart from containing a long rant he authored against Christians, he displays on his homepage a video put out this month calling for support of Israeli prisoner Khader Adnan, who according to Israel is a “senior member” of the terrorist group Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).

The Chairman and main face behind EMERGE is Khurrum Wahid, a practicing South Florida attorney. According to the Florida Bar, Wahid “has defended individuals charged with allegedly committing or conspiring to commit acts of terrorism…”

Some of Wahid’s clients include: Rafiq Abdus Sabir, who received a 25 year prison sentence for conspiring to provide material support to al-Qaeda; Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, who was given a life sentence for being a member of al-Qaeda and for plotting to assassinate President George W. Bush; and Hafiz Muhammed Sher Ali Khan, who is awaiting trial for conspiring with others to funnel at least fifty thousand dollars to the Pakistani Taliban for the purpose of murdering American troops overseas.

Wahid, as well, created a legal fund for Tashnuba Hayder, a girl who had been identified by the FBI as a potential suicide bomber and who was later deported to Bangladesh, as she was considered an imminent threat to the security of the United States. Currently, Wahid is soliciting funds on his law office’s website for the defense of his client Hafiz Khan (above) and his son Izhar Khan, whom Wahid calls a “rising star.”

Wahid is the Registered Agent for another radical entity, the Islamic Foundation of South Florida (IFSF). The Executive Director of EMERGE, Nauman Sabit Abbasi, is the President of Public Relations for IFSF. The IFSF Youth Group is run by Abdur Rahman al-Ghani, a fan of Hizb ut-Tahrir, whose Facebook site is littered with fanatical anti-America, anti-Israel and Islamic supremacist language. This month, al-Ghani posted to his Facebook, “[Y]es, Allah (SWT) has Decreed that we will over-take the World in numbers…”

Wahid also spoke at a May 2010 event sponsored by the American arm of the South Asian Muslim Brotherhood (Jamaat-e-Islami), the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), an organization that has been connected to the financing of both al-Qaeda and Hamas.

Now, does this sound like the type of place that a U.S. Congresswoman should be – and a Jewish one at that. And here’s the kicker….wait for it….

Wasserman Schultz's spokesman, Jonathan Beeton, told Florida's Sunshine State News, "There was a miscommunication, she is not speaking to the organization. We never agreed to do a fundraiser, nor this event." Beeton told the Washington Free Beacon the same, word for word.

Never agreed to do it, huh? How do you explain this then?

Preprinted flyers with Little Debbie headlining the event.
And then this:

However, an editorial written by EMERGE USA head Khurrum Wahid, which was printed in the South Florida Sun Sentinel, rebuts the statement made by the Wasserman Schultz camp. According to Wahid, Wasserman Schultz "agreed to speak at the banquet of EMERGE USA" – and then later backed out after what he describes as the "character assassination" of his group took place. [Of course, this alleged character assassination refers to our original investigative piece on this subject.]

Oh, Debbie, Debbie, Debbie…you not only continually lie – and I know it’s hard to keep up with what’s a lie and what’s true – but you were scheduled to sell out your heritage and the Jewish community by speaking to known terrorists who are not sympathetic to Israel and who kill Americans.

Now fast forward to Sept, where the libs held their convention in Charlotte, NC. And in typical lib fashion, there was chaos:

The spin that ensued regarding the DNC removing ‘God’ and ‘Israel’ from their platform was nothing short of disingenuous. What caused it? A ‘technical oversight’. However, Mr Cory Booker, NJ mayor, had already convened a DNC platform committee meeting, which was videotaped on C-SPAN, back on August 11th, nearly a month earlier.

DNC PLATFORM COMMITTEE APPROVES PARTY PLATFORM

Saturday, August 11, 2012

Every four years, the Democratic National Convention adopts a new national platform which is an official statement of the Democratic Party’s position on a variety of issues. The Platform Committee is responsible for drafting and recommending a proposed national platform to the Democratic National Convention for approval by the delegates.

This year they meet in Detroit, Michigan. The Platform Committee was chaired by Newark, NJ Mayor Cory Booker and Lt. Gen. Claudia Kennedy (Ret.). At the meeting, members discussed and amend the draft platform as well as voting on a final version to present to convention delegates in Charlotte, North Carolina. The draft platform was created by the Platform Drafting Committee in Minneapolis in July.

The Platform committee approved a platform that included a same-sex marriage plank for the first time in history. Mayor Booker said, in closing, "we have a platform that will excite not just Democrats but the nation... and ensure that Barack Obama will be reelected."

The full convention will vote on the platform on the first day of the Democratic Convention in September.

You can see the video at the C-SPAN link above. It’s not included here because it is a self-starting video which drives people nuts.

As was later noted about the committee process via Breitbart:

Booker insisted that the platform be perfected in all its details, asking the platform committee for "an all-encompassing resolution, ensuring that this is a grammatically tight document." No oversights were noted.

"There were very few big deals in the platform," Glinton said, adding that "what was supposed to be an eight-hour day ended in just over three hours." Neither he nor anyone else mentioned the changes on God and Israel.
In less than 60 seconds here, you’ve got four lies. One: She says the language was dropped because platforms are long and things get overlooked. True enough, they are long, but you’re kidding yourself if you think the language on Israel isn’t closely scrutinized. If the platform changed from 2008, it changed for a deliberate reason. Two: She says the platform was amended to reflect Obama’s “personal view,” which is a lie by omission. O’s personal view is what it is, but the administration’s official position on this issue is agnostic. Three: She says there was no discord on the floor. Yeah? Who were all those delegates booing then? And four: She says yes, obviously there were two-thirds in favor of adding the language. Again, eyewitnesses at the scene tell a different story. But then, this is Debbie being Debbie. Whereas other top flacks try to twist facts and shade the truth, she’ll tell you straight to your face that you didn’t just see and hear what you’ve seen and heard 20 times on cable news and YouTube this afternoon. That’s how you get to be chair of the DNC and a member of Congress instead of some no-name spokesman somewhere.

Isn’t it amazing that you can see for yourself in the video that there wasn’t 2/3’s majority FOR but rather AGAINST the change, yet she’s giving you a Twilight Zone response, like it really didn’t happen – ‘pay no attention to the guy behind the platform curtain’? And after that, she decided to run away from the press:

Democratic National Committee chiefs Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Patrick Gaspard cancelled interviews with local media outlets tonight, amid controversy surrounding the party’s decision to reintroduce “God” and “Jerusalem” to the platform…

Blair Miller of WSOC TV, ABC’s Charlotte, N.C., affiliate, also tweeted that Wasserman Schultz cancelled her interview with him, without explanation. “After my Romney intv today, we were planning to interview @DWSTweets live,” he wrote. “However, she did not show up. Her staff not answering calls.”

Let me make it clear (as Obama would say) as to what happened. The 2008 version of the platform included these mentions of Israel:

Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel. The parties have agreed that Jerusalem is a matter for final status negotiations. It should remain an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths.

The United States and its Quartet partners should continue to isolate Hamas until it renounces terrorism, recognizes Israel’s right to exist, and abides by past agreements.
It also included a mention of God:

We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.

Here’s another explanation as what happened between 2008 and 2012:

Explaining the removal, a Democratic official explained: “The 2008 platform reference is ‘God-given’ and is about growing the middle class and making America fair, not actually about faith. The platform includes an entire plank on the importance of faith based organizations and the tremendous work that they do. Further, the language we use to talk about faith and religion is exactly the same vocabulary as 2008. I would also note that the platform mentions: ‘faith’ 11 times; ‘religion’ or ‘religious’ 9 times; ‘church’ 2 times (one is a quote); and, ‘clergy’ 1 time.”

So ‘God-given’ is about making American fair, not about faith? It should have then been ‘god-given’ – small ‘g’ – not ‘God-given’ – big ‘G’, which references a person Who happens to be at the center of Christianity and Judaism.

This really is the most corrupt party I have ever seen in my life. And their attempts to back-pedal on the in-your-face remarks, lies, and deception is really sad. And what is worse is Little Debbie’s false pro-Israel face as shown in this piece. Would Netanyahu be the headliner at a radical Muslim groups’ gathering? Would any of you, our Jewish friends and readers? Would you post pictures of yourself flashing money around and then label yourself a Jewbag? Do you expect your president, whom you, the Jewish population, supported with 78% of the vote in 2008, to meet with our ally Israel, whether in America or in Israel? Do you not take exception to the fact that President Obama, the leader of Little Debbie’s party and who she campaigns and raises money for, REFUSED to see Netanyahu at our White House because of his ‘full’ schedule which consisted of David Letterman, Beyonce, and Jay-Z?

My Jewish friends – we implore you to do your own research on this subject. This isn’t the Democrat party of your grandparents or your parents. Your interests are not being represented. You are being used for money and a vote, plain and simple.

And to our Florida readers and voters, let me introduce you to Karen Harrington, the candidate running against Little Debbie. From her website, Karen Harrington for U.S. Congress
In the 2010 General election, and with only a few months of campaigning, Karen pulled in nearly 40% of the vote against Democratic incumbent Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. After such a strong showing in her first attempt at seeking public office, and an outcry of support from her family and supporters, Karen decided to make another run for Congress. She is running for public office to bring common sense back to Washington D.C., work on behalf of small business, tackle the crippling debt and ensure that Social Security and Medicare reforms become part of the political discourse in Washington,D.C.
Karen is a small business owner. She has been running a family restaurant with her sister for the last 30 years. This first hand experience taught Karen the value of family and the importance of hard work. Karen’s roots to the community go back to 1969 when her parents moved to South Florida from western Massachusetts. While the family of seven lived in a one-bedroom apartment, her parents worked odd jobs to provide for their children as best they could. After years of saving they were able to open their first restaurant.

Karen’s life was shaped by the work and sacrifice she saw as a child. She has continued to give back through fundraising for youth organizations and as a cancer survivor, is a strong advocate for Cancer Awareness. Karen and her husband Glenn have three children, Ryan, Kyle and daughter Ashley.

And on her Home page, she has this article which is for not only Floridians, but our Jewish friends and voters as well:

President Obama is 'NO' Friend of Israel

Over the past several days, the Obama administration has made it very clear that it has put the sovereignty and the security of the state of Israel on the backburner. In an press conference between President Obama's Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton and the Egyptian Foreign Minister, the Muslim Brotherhood-led regime stated that Egypt would honor the 1978 Camp David peace accords, as long as the Palestinians receive their own state, Israel go back to the "Indefensible" 1967 borders, and make Jerusalem its capital.

So far we have not hear one remark denouncing this statement from President Obama, Secretary Clinton, or even Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who has tirelessly pandered for votes, and ran cover for the President within the Jewish community. Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz has defended President Obama's call to Israel to go back to those "Indefensible"1967 borders, and has failed miserably in defending the President non-existent pro-Israel agenda.

The truth is, President Obama is no 'true' friend to Israel, and Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz should at the very least denounce the statement made by the new Islamic Fundamentalist Egyptian government.

This is the time to stand tall with our friend Israel, not sit silent and continue to allow radical Islam to threaten its existence.

My fellow Americans – lend me your ear. Please take these issues to heart this election year. We are in a dangerous situation, especially with the lack of leadership and a clear-cut foreign policy by this administration. This is not a democrat or GOP issue, this is not a black issue or even a Jewish issue per se – THIS IS AN AMERICAN ISSUE. What we do at the polls on 6 Nov is going to make or break this country. An unfettered president for another 4 years, along with left-wing radical minions like Little Debbie, will destroy what’s left of our freedoms and our Constitution. We cannot allow this to happen. It is up to ‘We The People’ to take our country back and to defend against tyranny. We at Righting On The Wall hope you will forward this post to as many friends as possible, of every color, race, creed, and political affiliation. There’s more corruption under the surface that will come out about Debbie Wasserman-Schultz – count on it.
