The "Donald" is Trumped by his own malicious and vicious mouth.

By Rob Janicki
Donald Trump, ostensible Republican presidential candidate and all around egotistical s.o.b., may well have gone over the political line of no return, when he ruthlessly and reprehensibly attacked John McCain, impugning McCain's service to America.

McCain, a Naval aviator, was shot down over Vietnam and imprisoned in North Vietnam for five and a half years.  Trump then went on to challenge McCain's reputation as an American hero and essentially called him and all other American POW's losers for having been captured during the Vietnam War. McCain was the son of a United States Navy Admiral.  When given the chance to be repatriated by the North Vietnamese government for a political propaganda coup, McCain declined until all American POW's were repatriated.  That's an exceptional American that some call heroic for such actions.

McCain suffered five and a half years of torture by North Vietnam and came home having both shoulders irreparably damaged along with other broken bones, which prevent McCain from lifting his hands and arms above his head even today.  The worst Trump ever suffered were hangovers in college after partying while Americans died and were wounded in the Vietnam War, while Trump lived the good life in college and later along the cocktail circuit in the world of business.

I'm not a fan of McCain, but I never questioned his heroism in standing up to five and a half years of torture at the hands of the North Vietnamese.  His support for his fellow POW's is part of the historical record.  McCain is an American hero and Trump is just a classless asshole, albeit a very wealthy classless asshole.

Some would say that Trump did correct the record on his comments about John McCain and to this I say it was all bullshit and far from an apology that McCain, and all American vets who spent time as POW's, deserved.  After the fact apologies for such egregious comments demeaning and denigrating McCain and other American vets is simply not acceptable going forward.  Trump's ego and narcissism have now  been revealed for all to see and it's a sickening sight to behold.

Trump has pandered to an underlying anger in America over the downward trajectory we have all seen under President Obama.  Americans are desperately looking for an American hero willing to stand up to the political establishment and tell it like it is, but talking s**t about people and policies without having a single structured and articulated policy to address these serious issues, is just another pandering political bulls**t artist with a lousy hairdo.

Watch for Trump's polling numbers to slide over this latest insult to America's intelligence.  Trump, when asked if he would support the Republican Party candidate if he did not receive the nomination, flatly said he wouldn't.  When asked if he would start a third party campaign, Trump did not rule out that possibility.

Trump has supported Hillary Clinton in the past along with other liberal causes.  Conservatives, no matter how dissatisfied they may be with the Republican Party have to remember that Trump is not their savior.  Trump is no more a Republican than Hillary Clinton is a moderate Democrat.  Conservatives are going to have to work within the Republican Party to win the presidency and that's just a fact of life or Hillary Clinton will win the presidency on November 8, 2016.
