I'll say it again . . . Donald Trump may be seriously running for the Republican 2016 presidential nomination . . . or not. More importantly, he is vetting the Republican candidate field, be it for the highest office of the nation or for Congress. The latest feud between Senator John McCain and Donald Trump garnered steam when the Senator whined that Trump stirred up the "crazies" at an Arizona rally. Bear in mind that "crazies" is a term the Senator claims is one of endearment. Actually, this is McCain spouting off and insulting those who don't agree with him. He's done this before, although then the term of endearment was "wacko birds."
This led to Trump questioning whether McCain was really a war hero . . . or did he? Sharyl Attkisson fact checked this claim and her analysis doesn't put Trump in such a damning light.
No matter which side you personally take on this issue, for the moment Trump is winning. As he continues to highlight issues like immigration and the horrendous veteran health care system, his numbers keep rising, weeding out some undesirables idiotic enough to take the bait. Hopefully next on his list will be Senator Lindsey Graham, who now thinks it's cool to call people who don't agree with him "jackasses" (see minute 1:37 of the clip below).
